Beacon Academy has had the best time kick-starting our celebrations for the World Cup 2026!

The children have loved coming into school proudly wearing their football kits and sharing their anticipation for the tournament ahead. We can’t wait to enjoy all the excitement, teamwork and sporting spirit over the next few weeks!

Year 1 had a lovely morning visiting Holy Trinity Church as a part of our RE curriculum. The children enjoyed a tour of the church before taking part in a hunt to find different items around the building. They then listened to a story and had thoughtful discussions about kindness and equality.

A huge thank you to the Holy Trinity staff for making us feel so welcome and for providing such an enjoyable and enriching experience! ⛪️😊♥️

Year 6 had a magical day at Warner Bros. Studio Tour London – The Making of Harry Potter yesterday!

Pupils took part in the incredible ‘Script to Screen’ workshop, where they discovered how the Harry Potter films came to life behind the scenes. From learning about special effects to seeing authentic props and costumes, it was an unforgettable experience!
The excitement continued with a tour around the studio lot, exploring iconic sets and stepping into the wizarding world itself.

What a fantastic end-of-half-term treat for our children today as the Pinocchio pantomime came to Beacon Academy!

The children loved every minute of the performance and it was wonderful to see so many smiling faces and hear so much laughter!

Beacon Academy had an exciting visitor today from HSBC who spent the day teaching children from Years 1–5 all about financial education!

The children enjoyed a range of fun and engaging workshops, including woodland adventures, creating their own coins and sporting challenges, all while learning important skills about money and finances.

A huge thank you to HSBC for coming in and educating our children in such an interactive way — the children had a fantastic day! ♥️

Year 1 had an exciting start to their new topic today!

We were delighted to welcome a Year 1 parent into school to talk to the children about the Sikh religion. The children learned about the meaning of the 5 Ks and discovered more about Guru Nanak Dev Ji, the founder of Sikhism.

It was a fantastic opportunity for the children to ask questions, deepen their understanding and celebrate different beliefs and cultures. Thank you to our special visitor for sharing such valuable knowledge with us! ♥️
