⚽️⚽️Year 7 Football News ⚽️⚽️

A search for a win over Pool Hayes continues as we fell 3-1. However we are getting closer.
After a disorganised first half things turned around for the second half and we edged it.

A great attitude form the new year 7`s and considering they have only had 1 x 40 mins training session prior to what is usually the toughest match of the season I think we will do well.

Notable performances from, Lewis P "two footed tackle" who bossed defence. Lewis C switched to goal keeper at half time and saved a penalty. Jenson H scored a screamer and star substitute Prince F game on to sure up the defence.

⭐️⭐️Thankyou to the eveyone who joined us for our open evening last night. ⭐️⭐️

It was a brilliant evening full of exciting activities across all subjects. 📚✏️✖️➗🗺🎨🎭💃⚽️🏓

🇫🇷🇪🇸European Day of Languages🇫🇷🇪🇸

Today we will be celebrating with form activities and using languages across the curriculum.

Speaking different languages shouldn’t be a barrier, on the contrary, it should open doors for achieving intercultural understanding.

Language learning brings benefits to everyone. Even if you only know a few words of the language of the country that you visit (for example on holiday), this enables you to make new friends and contacts.

Year 6 from Short Heath joined us today for a day at Willenhall.
They attended lessons in Maths ➕✖️➗ and English 📚📖✏️📝.
Met our Ambassadors and enjoy some time outside at break time.
They then experienced Humanities🗺🌎 and ended the day with a tasty lunch. 🥘🥗🍕🥪🍜

Year 7 have had a super start settling into their new routines, following their timetables and finding their way around the school.

Staff can’t wait to see Year 8, 9 & 10 for the first time and have year 7 & 11 back for day 2.

Breakfast club starts at 8am, all students need to be at school by 8.35 and will need to go straight to forms for an 8.40 start, 📖📚📝

The new year begins on Tuesday 5th September for Years 11 and 7.
All other students return on Wednesday 6th September 2023.

Just a reminder that all students need to be on site no later than 8:35am ready for an 8:40am start.

Archery went down well last night.

The group are off for a walk now after a very wet and cold night.

All students are happy just a little tired 💤

Our students are currently on their Bronze expedition.
Braving the wilds of Cannock chase our 15 explorers have set up camp for the night and will soon be cooking their own dinner. Tomorrow back on the trails and hopefully not getting lost … (like mr Perrens did).

Staff and students have had a brilliant day out on the field enjoying a range of sports including athletics, netball, football and bench ball.

Lots of team spirit with all the students cheering to support each other and enjoying time in their form groups.
