🎉 GCSE Results Day 2026 🎉

Today has been a wonderful morning of celebration as our Year 11 students collected their GCSE results.

We are incredibly proud of all our students and are delighted with this year's outcomes. Our overall achievement has significantly improved from last year and we have seen a fantastic increase in the number of students achieving the highest grades across a wide range of subjects.

There were so many success stories this morning, from students exceeding their expectations to others securing the grades needed for their chosen sixth forms, colleges, apprenticeships and future career pathways. We were also delighted to see a number of students achieve outstanding results, including exceptional performances featuring multiple Grades 7, 8 and 9.

Executive Headteacher Mrs Rigby said:

"We are very pleased with our results this year. Our overall achievement has significantly improved from last year. We have had a bumper year for our excellence grades with more pupils achieving Grade 7-9 in a variety of subjects.

All of our pupils who worked hard, with the support of our staff, have achieved well. It was an absolute pleasure to share the successes with our pupils this morning. To see their smiling faces and proud parents makes all our hard work worthwhile.

We wish them the utmost success as they move onto their future studies and careers."

🎓 GCSE RESULTS DAY 2026 🎓

Today we celebrate our Year 11 pupils as they receive their GCSE results.

Whatever is inside that envelope, today represents so much more than a set of grades. It reflects years of hard work, determination, resilience and growth – and every pupil should be proud of how far they have come.

To our Year 11s: your results are one part of your journey, not the measure of your potential. Whether you're heading to college, starting an apprenticeship, beginning a T Level, entering training or taking another path, there are many exciting opportunities ahead.

A huge thank you also goes to our staff, families and everyone who has supported our pupils throughout their time with us.

If your results aren't what you hoped for, please don't panic. Speak to a member of staff and take time to explore your options. Free and impartial advice about further education, apprenticeships, training and employment is also available through the National Careers Service

🥋🏆 SJF GIRLS ARE WUKF KARATE WORLD CHAMPIONS! 🏆🥋

The good news has just kept on coming this summer…

Year 11 leaver Zoi, who certainly hasn’t been sitting around all summer waiting for her GCSE results tomorrow, and former SJF student Sensei Lucy are both WUKF Karate World Champions! 🌍🥇

Competing at the recent 14th World Union of Karate-Do Federations (WUKF) World Karate Championships at the BTarena in Cluj-Napoca, Romania, the members of Black Scorpion Karate Club, representing the English Karate Academy, brought home an incredible haul of medals.

🥇🥇 Lucy, Zoi and their teammate Isabelle each won two gold medals, taking both the Junior Kumite Team and Junior Kumite Team Rotation titles in Shobu Ippon.

And Lucy went one step further, adding a third gold medal in the Junior Kumite Individual (Shobu Ippon)! 🥇🥇🥇

We are incredibly proud of both Zoi and Lucy and their amazing achievements on the world stage. 🌎👏

Even more special is the relationship between them. Lucy has been a fantastic role model for Zoi, not only in sport but also in helping her build confidence, believe in herself and realise what she is capable of.

📢 GCSE Results Day - Thursday 20 August

A reminder for students and parents about GCSE Results Day:

Former Year 11 students
👉 Collect your results in school from 9:00am.
👉 Results will also be available on the Arbor Portal (not app) from 8:00am.
👉 Access the Arbor Portal here using your normal Arbor login: https://login.arbor.sc/

Please be aware that if you are unable to collect results in person, you must write and sign a note that authorises another named person to receive them on your behalf. This person must bring photo ID along with them.

Year 10 students (returning in Year 11)
👉 Former Y10 who did statistics or an MFL can see their results on the portal.
👉 Please DO NOT come into school.
👉 A paper copy will be provided when school reopens in September.
