A huge well done to our Day of Service students, Annabelle and Ben! 🌟

They did a fantastic job today delivering letters to our neighbours,
Mrs. Thompson, who was so grateful for their help.

Great work, both of you! 👏

What started as a chilly morning has turned into a lovely, sunny afternoon! ☀️

Our Year 8 students are taking full advantage of the weather, practicing their netball and football skills outside. ⚽🏐

Our Year 7 students have been out and about visiting their old primary schools! 🏫✨

Accompanied by Mr Morgan and Mrs Storey, our students loved catching up with their former teachers and speaking to Year 5 and Year 6 pupils about what life is really like at Shevington High School.

Yesterday, Teddy, Isla , Amaya and Rory visited Millbrook.

They did a fantastic job answering questions, sharing their experiences, and reassuring the younger students about making the step up to high school.

Well done, Year 7 you were brilliant ambassadors for our school! 👏

🌟 Huge congratulations to our Year 10 girls who took on the UKMT Mathematical Olympiad for Girls last month! 🧠✨

This was an incredibly tough national challenge, and Miss Williams is extremely proud of every single student who stepped up to take it on.

A special shoutout to Eliana P, who achieved the highest score in Year 10! 🏆 Brilliant work, girls, what a fantastic accomplishment! 👏🎉

🌟 STEM Spotlight: Inspiring the Next Generation of Mathematicians! 🧠✨

Take a look at the incredible achievement of Professor Hong Wang, a Chinese mathematician specializing in harmonic analysis at IHES in France!

Together with Joshua Zahl, she proved the three-dimensional Kakeya conjecture in 2025—a mathematical puzzle first proposed over 100 years ago by Japanese mathematician Sōichi Kakeya! Her ground-breaking work earned her a Fields Medal in 2026. 🏆📐

Key Highlights:

Specialization: Harmonic Analysis

Major Milestone: Solved a century-old problem (3D Kakeya conjecture)

Recognition: Awarded the prestigious Fields Medal in 2026

Proof that with curiosity, patience, and persistence, no problem is too complex to solve!
