🏆 RECORD-BREAKING GCSE RESULTS! 🏆
We are incredibly proud of our Year 11 students class of 2026! Achieving our best-ever results for a second consecutive year is a fantastic accomplishment and a true testament to their hard work, resilience, and commitment.
It is particularly pleasing to see more students than ever achieving grades 7 and above. 🌟
To all of our students: Remember that your results do not define who you are. Whether you achieved the top grades or faced unexpected challenges, your character, effort, and unique strengths are what truly matter.
A huge thank you to our dedicated staff and supportive families who have guided our students throughout their time at Shevington.
We wish every member of Year 11 the absolute best as they take their next steps into further education, training, and employment. The whole Shevington High School community congratulates the Class of 2026! 🎓💙

🌑 DON'T FORGET: The Total Solar Eclipse is tonight! ☀️✨
If you don't have specialized ISO-certified solar eclipse glasses, do NOT look directly at the Sun — standard sunglasses won't protect your eyes!
Here are 3 completely safe ways to watch the event without glasses:
1️⃣ The Pinhole Projector (Paper/Card Method) 📄Poke a tiny hole through a piece of cardstock or paper with a pin. Turn your back to the sun and hold the paper so sunlight passes through the hole, projecting a clear image of the eclipsed Sun onto the ground or a second piece of paper!
2️⃣ The Kitchen Strainer / Tree Shadow Trick 🍝🌳Grab a household colander, slotted spoon, or stand under a leafy tree! The tiny gaps will act as natural pinholes, casting dozens of miniature crescent sun shadows onto the sidewalk or wall.
3️⃣ Watch an Official Livestream 💻📱Enjoy a crystal-clear, front-row view without any risks! NASA and major observatories are streaming the full path live online.
Stay safe and happy skywatching! 🌌👀

📢 Scopay Update
We are currently experiencing some technical issues with Scopay, which are affecting ability to top up lunch accounts and pay for art kits.
Please be assured that we are working to resolve this issue as quickly as possible and aim to have everything fully working before the start of term in September.
Thank you for your patience and understanding. We will share a further update as soon as the system is restored.
