4.2 had fun in science this week. We looked at the teeth of different animals and decided whether we thought they were carnivores, herbivores or omnivores.

Amazing freeze frames in Y2 acting out different parts of the story. We took on the role of the wolf pack from our class story ‘The Way Home for Wolf’ and thought carefully about how our characters would be feeling.

💧Super Scientists in Year 5! 🧪

Tod week, Year 5 have been busy investigating filtering!🔬

The children worked in groups to create their own water filters, using a range of materials with different-sized gaps. They then poured muddy water through their filters and carefully observed how its appearance changed over time.

We discovered that filtering can separate an insoluble solid from a liquid, as larger mud particles become trapped while the water passes through the gaps.

A huge well done to this week’s KS2 superstars who shared their extra curricular achievements in assembly! 🌟👏

Year 5 (and their lucky teachers) were very privileged to be shown some amazing artefacts from WW2 that belong to Ruby’s family. A very big thank you to Ruby’s mum who gave up her time to share them with us to enhance our learning. 🙂❤️
