Why Art 4 Art exists, Art 4 your sake began not as a business idea but a lifeline - for one young man in particular our son Haydn.
Bright curious and fiercely intelligent , H is a high functioning autistic teen who sees the world through a lens of precision, humour and depth. But like so many neurodivergent children he was failed - first by the system, then by the school and authority tasked to supporting him.
After years of watching his confidence erode. I took the local education authority to tribunal . We won a judge granted H a rare EOTAS (Education Other than at school ) package, but the LEA had no structure for delivering it. So I built one.
As a professional creative with a full studio and decades of experience , I designed Hs education around what made him light up. We explored photography, design, printing, sculpture, framing, 3d modelling, AI prompting and traditional art. I watched his spark return , as well as life skills and more mainstream subjects.
And something clicked. If this approach worked for him, how many others could it work for too?
