Here’s a photo dump of all the things I love/ loved to do.
Open water swimming, horse riding, travel, running, hiking, concerts, theatre…
Sadly, due to chronic illness I can’t do many of those things anymore, but when I’m well enough I do as much as I can!

My staff meetings are very short, include biscuits and tea and everyone is very kind and encouraging 😂

AND there are no inset days at the start of term with awkward ice breakers 😂😂

Autism is so often discussed through the things a child finds difficult.

But that is only part of the picture.

Autistic children can also bring distinctive strengths — deep interests, remarkable attention to detail, originality, honesty, loyalty, persistence and ways of noticing the world that others may completely miss.

Of course, no autistic child will have every strength on this list. Just as support needs vary, strengths do too.

The aim isn’t to romanticise autism or overlook genuine challenges.

It is to make sure we see the whole child.
