Editingβ¦ so important to teach writers this essential skill. βοΈ
Many learners see this as a chore and I know as a previous year 6 teacher and writing lead how difficult it is to engage children in this phase of writing. βοΈ
My learner today was reluctant to go back and change anything initially but was really pleased with the end result.

When a student has anxiety over a concept and says something like this at the end of a session, it brings me so much joy. π

This maths session started with a game of times table race.
Player one starts by popping the popper until they get a double. Meanwhile, player 2 is racing to fill in the grid.
When player one gets a double they swap roles until the grids are completed.
All of my students love this game!

I was always taught that the mean was βmeanβ because it was the hardest to find out of the mode, median and mean! M did a brilliant job finding the mean in data sets today. πππππ

To help learn the continents today we played a game.
Level one: one player closes their eyes while the other removes a continent. Then player one has to guess which continent is missing.
Level 2: this time the continents are jumbled up out of place and player one has to guess.
Level 3: As level 2 but more than one continent is removed. Player one has to reassemble the continents into the correct places. πππ
