Spent a very productive and enjoyable morning with the husband at Westcliff High School for Girls teaching self defence to year 11s.

Covering the 4 levels of awareness, the basics of de-escalation, and some strikes and grip breaks.

Thank you to the staff and students at the school for making us feel so welcome, we’re looking forward to seeing you again next term.

Happy 1st December! 🎄🎄🎄

As the Christmas season is a busy one for everyone, and with the increase in Covid cases locally and nationally I have decided not to run the self defence classes on 7th December and January 4th.

The classes will return from February, and with a new format so watch this space.

In the meantime I do offer 1-2-1 or 2-2-1 private lessons, so get in touch to find out details.

Last week’s class was very small, but we covered some intense work on striking, defence against rear bear hugs and hair grabs, plus reaction drills which included finding a weapon and locating the exit.

This session also produced the most entertaining class photo we’ve seen yet!
