A final post before the summer and it is bittersweet.
We celebrated success in our final school assembly and then shared some goodbyes.
Congratulations to Y6 on a fabulous year- see the newsletter later for exact figures, but they are still in the top 10% nationally. Y4 are also in the top 10% for their multiplication check and 100% of year 1 passed their phonics check! Well done everyone.
Our Keith Hayes Award this term went to Will in Y6 for being the embodiment of our school values and being an always person.
Congratulations to Jayce, Eden, Hallie and Mia in RW, Edwin, Jake and Xander for RH, Harry in 1W, Isabelle in 2H and Finn and Felicity in 4W for being the final Golden Ticket winners.
Rupert and Jack won the sweets in the jar and the bear from our England day.
Finally our goodbyes. There were lots of hugs for Miss Hope, Mrs Holliday and Mrs Hannah as they leave us today.
Miss Hope has been our musical influence and has brought music and drama to life across school. Our Shakespeare performances have been amazing under her guidance. Miss Hope is now moving house, school and getting married so will have a busy summer.
After over 28years, Mrs Holliday might finally put her feet up! She has sung, danced laughed and smiled her way through everyday and has influenced hundreds of children. Don’t mention the pancakes! We wish her well.
Also after over 20 years, Mrs Hannah is retiring as Business Manager. Many may not have seen her often but she has been integral in keeping things organised from the cleaning and kitchen to staff and resourcing for the children. She is the master of a spreadsheet. We hope she too enjoys some time to relax.
