A big day for lots of little ones… and their grown-ups too! ❤️

Whether they skipped through the door without looking back, needed an extra-long cuddle, or there were a few tears once you got back to the car... starting nursery or preschool for the first time is a BIG milestone for both of you!

Sending lots of love to all the Whitchurch families starting a new chapter this week. Have a cuppa and a cry if you need it and just know that they're going to have so much fun!

🌻 Hello September 🌻

A brand new month means brand new adventures at Whitchurch Nursery & Preschool!

As the seasons begin to change, our activities this month will be inspired by friendship, harvest and the wonderful world around us.

We'll be encouraging the children to explore, create and learn through meaningful, hands-on experiences that reflect what's happening in nature!

Throughout September we'll be focusing on:
🍎 Harvest, seasonal fruit and vegetables
🤎 All About Me - building confidence, recognising emotions and celebrating what makes us unique
👫 Friendship, kindness and teamwork
🌻 Sunflowers, seeds and signs of autumn
🚜 Farm animals, tractors and harvest-themed play
👀 Eye Health Week and looking after our amazing eyes
🥕 Healthy snacks and making nutritious food choices

We can't wait to share all of this month's adventures with you!

⏰ A reminder for ALL parents looking to use the Working Parent childcare funding this Autumn…

If you haven't applied yet...the deadline to apply for your eligibility code is Monday 31st August.

Yes, that's Bank Holiday Monday! So we’d really recommend getting your application sorted today rather than leaving it until the deadline.

Eligible working parents with children aged from 9 months up to school age could receive up to 30 hours of funded childcare each week.

A little message from Hannah, our Nursery Director as we approach the start of the new school year!

We'd like to introduce you to someone very special... meet Bailey!

Bailey is our therapy dog in training and has recently started becoming part of life here at Whitchurch Nursery & Preschool.

We're introducing him slowly and carefully, making sure every interaction is positive for both Bailey and the children.

At the moment, Bailey spends most of his time helping out in the office, with the occasional supervised cuddle session as he gets to know everyone!

As Bailey continues his training, we hope he'll become a calm, reassuring presence within our nursery community.

Time spent with animals can help children build confidence, develop empathy and simply bring a little extra joy to the day.

We can't wait to share more of Bailey's journey with you - we're sure he'll soon become a firm favourite with our children and families! 🐾💚
