At our Gospel Hall Nursery in Whitchurch the children have been having conversations about giving flowers to their mothers 💐, we extended this into a hands-on creative activity.
The children were excited to make their very own beautiful bouquets using real flowers! They carefully selected, arranged, and designed their creations, showing great enthusiasm and pride in their work. It was wonderful to see their creativity blossom and the thought and care they put into each bouquet 🌸✨
This activity supported several areas of the EYFS, including Expressive Arts and Design through creating with materials, Physical Development as the children used their fine motor skills to handle and arrange the flowers, and Personal, Social and Emotional Development as they expressed love and thoughtfulness for others.
A truly meaningful and engaging experience inspired by the children themselves 🌷

At our Whiteway Road Nursery in Speedwell the children have been celebrating St Patrick’s Day by exploring a green themed sensory tray, green coloured play dough and being Talented Tool Users to create a shamrock using glue sticks, glue and green, orange and white tissue paper.

🚀 “I Wonder About Space”🌟🚀

This month at our Gospel Hall Nursery in Whitchurch our theme is “I Wonder About Space.”
The children have been having lots of fun exploring space through creative activities and imaginative play.
They used their imagination to make their own aliens using playdough and a mixture of different materials. The children loved talking about their creations and discussing how many eyes their alien had! 👽
The children have also been very busy gluing and sticking to create their own colourful rockets, ready to blast off into space. 🚀
It has been wonderful to see their creativity and curiosity while learning about space. We look forward to sharing more of their amazing work with you! 🌟

🌞 A Lovely Trip to the Park! 🌳

Today at our Gospel Hall Nursery in Whitchurch we enjoyed a wonderful trip to the park! The children had a fantastic time exploring and playing together. On the way to the park we talked about road safety, helping the children understand how to stay safe when walking near roads.

As we walked, we chatted about all the things we could see around us, including buses, a digger, airplanes and lorries. The children were very excited to spot different vehicles and share what they knew about them!
At the park, the children had great fun playing on the swings, slide, climbing frame and roundabout. The swings were especially popular and brought lots of smiles and laughter.

We also enjoyed a little snack at the park, giving everyone a chance to rest before more play. We were very lucky with the weather too — the sun was shining, making it a perfect day for our outing!
It was a lovely experience for the children to explore, play and talk about the world around them. 🌼

At our Gospel Hall Nursery in Whitchurch we have made an interactive display encouraging independence through daily routines.
There are information leaflets for parents and visual prompts for the children to start discussions around school readiness. We will be sharing the books with the children through the Nursery day and working in partnership with parents on these important life skills.

At our Gospel Hall Nursery in Whitchurch we have been busy dynamic designers, making some beautiful pictures to take home for Mother’s Day!
The children chose to make some flower pictures, using paint and different tools. As we made our pictures we spoke about our lovely family with our friends.
We hope everyone had a lovely Mother’s Day!

A mini spa session at our Gospel Hall Nursery in Whitchurch!

The children enjoyed a mini 'spa' and took an opportunity to quietly regulate! We enjoyed the cooling sensation of the cucumber on our eyes, and listening to soothing sounds of bird song, waves breaking and trees blowing in the wind. We discussed the forces we could feel and the senses we explored, naming the sounds we had heard and how the lights above us looked.
