What a week of local area exploration with Tanya Eyre!

We love our sessions with Tanya, from identifying wildlife to soil experiments, there is so much to learn about together!

Our moorland has taken a hit over the last year but it wont stop us from getting out there and learning all about what it has to offer!

Thank you to Tanya for our amazing visits!

What a fabulous day Acorn and Explorer Class had on our school trip to Woldies Lavender Farm! 💜

The children enjoyed a fun-filled day packed with laughter, adventure, and wonderful outdoor experiences. From exciting train rides and butterfly hunting to den building, sand play, and splashing in the water area, there was something for everyone to enjoy.

The smiles on the children's faces said it all, and they made some very special memories together.

A huge thank you to everyone at Woldies Lavender Farm for making our visit so memorable. We cannot thank the staff enough for their warm welcome, kindness, and for providing such a fantastic experience for our children.

We can't wait to visit again! 🌿🦋🚂

⭐May Queen 2026⭐
On the last day of half term we had our May Queen Ceremony! This is a tradition which has been with the school for many years and will this year be features in a special exhibit at The Robin Hoods Bay Museum.
We truly appreciate the support from families at this special event, raising over £300 for the school via our tombola and cafe!

To conclude our learning about Extraordinary People, Acorn Class were delighted to welcome Tom and Penny from the RNLI today.

The children learned all about the important role of the RNLI in keeping people safe at the coast. They took part in a rescue role play to help save a patient injured on the sand, explored the life-saving equipment, and even had the chance to try on the wet suits and dry suits.

Of course, we had to test whether the dry suit really worked… and we can confirm that Mrs Herbert stayed completely dry after a hose pipe test! 💦😄

A huge thank you to Tom and Penny for such a fun, hands-on, and memorable experience. Another fantastic visit as part of our Extraordinary People learning! ⭐

Continuing with our learning about Extraordinary People, Acorn Class were excited to welcome two familiar faces into our classroom yesterday as we learned all about the role of paramedics.

The children discovered how paramedics help people in emergencies, the important equipment they use, and how they work quickly to care for others. It was a fantastic hands-on experience, with lots of great questions and learning along the way!

A huge thank you to our special visitors for taking the time to share their important work with us and inspire the children. Another wonderful extraordinary people experience! ⭐
