🎉 Peace, Education, and Culture for Afghanistan đŸ‡ŠđŸ‡«

Last night, we gathered to celebrate peace, education, and culture for the people of Afghanistan. As the new year approaches, our hearts are filled with hope for a brighter, more peaceful future for our beloved country. Despite the cruelty and oppression of the current regime, the spirit of the Afghan people remains resilient, and their rich heritage, culture, and love for education continue to inspire us.

We partied not just to welcome the new year, but to pray for an Afghanistan where every child can access education, every person can live with dignity, and peace prevails across the nation. Let this be a year of transformation, strength, and unity for all Afghans around the world.

📜 The Prophet Muhammad (ï·ș) said:
“Seeking knowledge is an obligation upon every Muslim.” (Sunan Ibn Majah 224)

Education is a powerful tool for change, and peace is the foundation of a just society. May we all work together to uplift Afghanistan and honor the values of education, culture, and harmony.

Appalled by reported ban on women’s medical education in Afghanistan, which further violates women’s & girls’ rights to health, education & work. This inexplicable & unjustifiable announcement will have devastating impact on entire population if implemented and must be reversed.

Taliban’s ban on female students at medical institutes in Afghanistan will deepen the country’s already severe healthcare crisis. Women continue to fight for their education, refusing to give up on their dreams despite the oppressive restrictions.

It’s been over 1,000 days since Afghan girls were banned from education, work, and basic rights. The world must act to defend their rights. Educating girls is a human right and key to economic development, better health, and gender equality.

It’s been 1162 days since the Taliban banned teenage girls from school and 702 days since they barred women from university. Afghanistan is the only country with such gender apartheid, restricting girls’ and women’s education.

1153 days since the Taliban banned teenage girls from school. 693 days since the Taliban banned women from going to university. Education is a basic right, not a privilege. Afghan girls must be allowed to learn. We need to stand for women education and their rights.

Three years into the Taliban rule, the country remains a hotbed of unchecked and unabated human rights abuses – gender persecution, torture, arbitrary detentions, and censorship – all with zero accountability. The world’s response? Tepid at best.
