Proud Party 2026… done!

We’ve had a fantastic afternoon celebrating our 40 school leavers at Wetherby… there’s been singing, sun salutations, dancing, special words, tears all round, lots of fun, hugs and happy memories made.

We are so proud of every single one of our children leaving us this summer to go to school, we have loved you being part of the Cub family and we will miss you all so so much. Cub Wetherby will not be the same without you.

A huge thanks and well done to the Room 5 team, your dedication and commitment to making today a success was so appreciated. Thank you also to Amy and the managers for making it all happen, you are all absolute super stars, and we love you all loads.

Our people radiate sunshine ☀️

Yesterday it was a pleasure to bring together our two nursery teams for in depth safeguarding training. They attended three sessions covering EYFS updates, local trends, prevent duty and professional curiosity.

It’s so important that we bring our teams together in this way, ensuring their knowledge and understanding is kept up to date through collaborative active training.

Congratulations to Elise at Wetherby who after much hard work, perseverance and dedication, has completed her Apprenticeship with Cub and is now a Qualified Level 3 Educator! Well done Elise!!! 🙌🏼

We are so lucky to witness the love, care, and energy you pour into your children every day. From the morning drop-offs, to the cuddles, encouragement, and endless support and nurture you provide, we see how hard you’re working.

You all deserve a wonderful day celebrating and hopefully being a little spoiled! Enjoy!

A meaningful afternoon spent at the home across the road from Cub Headingley, sharing conversations, laughter, and stories across generations.

Yesterday’s visit highlighted the importance of bringing generations together—creating connections, sharing experiences, and learning from those who have so much wisdom to offer!

Game on!

What an exciting month at nursery as we celebrate the World Cup with lots of football-themed activities!

Throughout this week, the children are enjoying practising a range of ball skills, including dribbling, passing, kicking, and aiming for targets. These activities help to develop their coordination, balance, and confidence while encouraging them to stay active and have fun.

Teamwork is a big focus too, as the children work together in small groups, cheering each other on, taking turns, and learning the importance of cooperation.
