It’s the last Last Day…
Over the last few weeks, our pre school has got smaller as our oldest children have each had their last day and headed off to start reception. And today out last ones leave.
It is so bitter sweet… we know that it’s time for them to go and be the curious, confident, happy learners they are at their new schools, but our hearts are slightly broken at having to say good bye!
We have had such a lovely time together and made such happy memories. We’ve loved getting to know their whole families - thank you for all the lovely cards, messages and gifts, your words have meant so much to us.
These beautiful words from one parent particularly touched us:
“Three years ago, a very depleted mummy with severe separation anxiety dropped her bub off at nursery for the very first time. I was terrified.
The transition was slow, gentle and completely led by what R needed. The level of compassion, understanding and support we were offered was immeasurable.
Slowly, Cub, The Modern Nursery became my village — and, in so many ways, part of our family too. 🤍
I later learnt the term alloparent, and it’s exactly how I would describe this incredible team. The people who care for, nurture, guide and love our children alongside us.
Tomorrow is R’s last day in his journey at Cub, and I honestly don’t think I’ll ever be able to put into words just how grateful I am to you all.
Thank you for loving our boy, for holding him (and me!) through those early days, and for being such a huge part of his little life.
We will be eternally grateful. 🤍”
