๐ฟโจ Another fun-filled week for our Little Explorers!โจ๐ฟ
What a wonderful week weโve had, packed full of outdoor adventures, messy play, creativity, sensory experiences and lots of opportunities to learn through play! ๐ฆ๐ณ๐ฆ
๐น Monday โ Welly Walk at RHS Rosemoor
We headed off on our monthly Welly Walk, with this monthโs theme being butterflies! ๐ฆ We listened carefully to a lovely story before getting creative and making our very own peg butterflies. We then took them along on our walk and collected fallen petals to use in another craft. ๐ธ
Of course, no Welly Walk would be complete without discovering some BIG puddles! ๐ฆ There was plenty of jumping, splashing and laughter โ all while developing balance, coordination and confidence in the great outdoors.
๐๏ธ Tuesday โ Woolacombe Sand Dune Adventure
We met up with our friends for a sandy adventure at Woolacombe! The Little Explorers loved running, digging and making lots of marks in the sand using dumper trucks and tractors. ๐
There was also time for a good old kick-about with the football โฝ and lots of fun chasing bubbles as they danced and blew across the dunes! ๐ซง A brilliant day for physical development, imaginative play, socialising and exploring the natural environment.
๐ณWednesday โ Saplings in the Wood & Gruffalo Adventures
Back into the woods we went, where the glorious mud was waiting for us! ๐ชต๐ชฃ Although our activities had a butterfly theme, the boys had other ideas and headed off on a Gruffalo adventure! ๐พ
They got busy making their very own Gruffalo stew for Granny Gruffalo, using their imaginations and everything the woodland had to offer. ๐ฒ๐ฟ Messy play, storytelling, role play and problem-solving all rolled into one wonderful adventure!
๐ถ๐ณ Thursday โ A Chilled Saplings Baby Session
Thursday was all about slowing things down and enjoying a lovely baby session in the woods. The little ones had lots of fun exploring the mud kitchen, investigating different textures and materials, and socialising with some new friends from Tiny Humans Childcare ๐ค
It was lovely to watch them interact, explore at their own pace and build those early social and sensory skills.
๐งธ Friday โ Sensory Fun
We finished our week with some lovely sensory play, exploring different textures with our play mats. ๐ฃโจ Sensory experiences like these help little ones discover their environment through touch, while supporting curiosity, concentration and early physical development.
And a special little milestone for Baby A, who has been practising sitting independently and is now one step closer to mastering it!๐ฅฐ๐
What a week! From puddle jumping and sand dunes to Gruffalo stew, mud kitchens and sensory exploration, our Little Explorers have been learning, growing, creating and having SO much fun along the way!๐ฟ๐
Hereโs to another week of adventures! โจ๐ฆ๐ณ
