I’d like to introduce myself:)
I’m a Japanese language tutor, Yuko from Tokyo, Japan🇯🇵 living in the U.K. 🇬🇧
I’ve been teaching Japanese over 5 years. My tutoring journey began when I was a “live-in nanny” in California, the U.S.
I was working for an American family who wanted me to help their toddler to be “English/Japanese bilingual”. I worked for them more than a few years and now she’s a fluent bilingual.
I was working as a tutor for toddlers, kids, and adults here and there afterwards.
During the pandemic, I started expanding online language classes.
I have a few different business backgrounds.
1. Qualified Japanese chef
2. Qualified early childhood care provider(babysitter, nanny, and helper for disabled children)
3. Japanese language tutor
I was born and raised in Setagaya, Tokyo. I moved to America🇺🇸to study English in 2015-17.
Soon after, I moved to Australia🇦🇺and New Zealand 🇳🇿for working holidays(for one year each). Then worked in Germany🇩🇪for a few months. And until now, I’ve been settled in England.🏴
I live in a small seaside town with my husband and son(age 2).
As my son is a toddler, this online business is ideal for our lifestyle.
My lesson style is laidback and encouraging. I create personalized lessons for each student.
I always try my best to inspire and guide them how to learn one of the most complicated and fascinating languages in the world.
My goal is to hep my students enjoy every single step of learning:)
