Many students fail to reach their personal best in English Language, not because they aren't capable, but because they are simply given the wrong strategy to succeed.
Which is frustrating, because it’s like practising hockey before a football match. How do you know if your child hasn’t got the best strategy to help them master their English Language GCSEs? Simple... do any of these sound familiar?
Do they:
📖 Feel overwhelmed by the volume of material?
📖 Struggle to express their ideas clearly in essays?
📖 Find analysing the effects of linguistic devices confusing?
That's why I started to change my approach and strategy as a teacher and developed my English Mastery Method. Since working with my students this way, the results have been impressive. One student recently went up three grades in two months. While another went from disengaged to finding joy in creative writing and storytelling.
Here's my 3 step process to help students succeed:
First, Identify: "We kickstart their journey by pinpointing exactly where their strengths and growth areas lie, ensuring a focused path forward."
Then, Enhance: "We dive deep into literature, nonfiction and creative writing, expanding imaginative horizons through thematic and stylistic exploration of texts."
Finally, Master: "We will grow in confidence and solidify skills by linking writing exercises to real world scenarios, showcasing their progress every step of the way."
These 3 steps are fundamental in helping your child master their English Language GCSEs. Just like a martial artist preparing for a world championship fight, when they prepare with the right strategy, their chances of success increase dramatically.
