Summer holidays have officially started for us ☀️

Having two under one is not for the faint hearted. We smashed it though and beautiful friendships are blooming 🩷🩷🩷

Today, I closed my classroom door for the very last time.

After spending most of my life in schools—as a pupil, a TA in Australia, training as an EAL teacher, supporting children with special educational needs in London, and eventually becoming a primary teacher—I never imagined how emotional that moment would be.

Life eventually brought me to Hertfordshire and then Buckinghamshire, where my partner and I built a beautiful life together and welcomed our two wonderful children. I also had the privilege of teaching in some truly wonderful schools, surrounded by incredible colleagues, amazing children and supportive families.

Teaching has shaped who I am. It has given me purpose, laughter, resilience, lifelong friendships and some of the happiest years of my life.

Leaving is far more emotional than I ever imagined. But sometimes the dream that's been growing quietly in your heart becomes too important not to follow. ❤️

So here's to a brand new adventure-launching Phonics with Robot Reg. 🤖📚

It's a little scary, very exciting and built on years of experience, passion and a love of helping children learn.

To every child I've taught, every colleague who's inspired me, every parent who's trusted me and every friend and family member who's supported me—thank you. Your encouragement, kindness and belief in me have meant more than you'll ever know.

I'll carry everything you've given me into this next chapter.
