Although there are many benefits to in-person support, many children and teens can struggle to leave the safe space they have at home. At Inspiring Kids North Somerset, we have tutors, mentors and therapist/counsellors who are able to provide support online, as we recognise it can be a struggle for some.

⭐Our tutors are able to utilise games (both in person and online) to support pupils' learning. If your child is struggling with the classroom environment, we will focus on their interests and provide activities that engage them.

🎲 One of our tutors has even designed a Dungeons and Dragons style platform to gamify the learning process for children and teens who find the classroom boring. The stories can be adapted to each pupils individual learning needs and topics.

Sometimes when you get two ADHD brains together you make mistakes.
Liesa and I got our wires crossed during our planning of the mentoring groups, but I can confirm that they will be on Thursdays, starting on Thursday 2nd Oct.
Sincere apologies to anyone impacted by this. If you are missing out now, we will try our best to plan for this in the future.

We are excited to be launching mentoring groups for teenagers and young people in Clevedon, aimed at creating a supportive social community and building positive coping strategies. It is for young people out school who are neurodivergent and/or have some difficulty in accessing education or social settings.

We want the young people attending these groups to have significant input into how they are run, which means the sessions will continue to develop and adapt over time.

Sessions will run on Tuesdays from 18th September at The Barn Youth and Community Centre in Clevedon:
• Primary/Pre-teens: 10:00–11:00am
• Teens: 11:30am–12:30pm

Liesa, a brilliant ADHD coach, will be running the groups. She brings a wealth of experience and a genuine passion for supporting young people, aiming to nurture each individual and help them discover their strengths.
Each session costs £20 per young person, with a maximum of 6 per group.
