We've been busy preparing classrooms, planning exciting learning opportunities and making sure everything is ready for a fantastic year ahead. 🌟

🎨🌈 WHAT. A. DAY! 🌈🎨

A huge THANK YOU to our amazing Haywood Village Academy PTFA Events for organising today's fantastic Colour Run! 🏃‍♂️🏃‍♀️💨

The smiles were huge, the energy was contagious, and by the end of the day our children (and staff!) were covered from head to toe in every colour imaginable! 🌟😂

Events like this create wonderful memories for our children and bring our school community together in such a fun and positive way. We are incredibly grateful for the time, effort and enthusiasm our PTFA put into making today such a colourful success. 💙💚💛🧡❤️💜

Thank you to everyone who took part, cheered from the sidelines, donated and helped make the event so special. We think it's safe to say that today's Colour Run was a bright idea! 🌈✨

🏃‍♂️🏅 What a fantastic Sports Day! 🏅🏃‍♀️

A day full of energy, teamwork and determination. We are so proud of all our students for giving their best and showing great sportsmanship throughout the day. 🌟👏

A huge thank you to all our families for spectating, cheering from the side lines and joining us for our picnic. Your support helped make the day so special. 💙

A special shoutout to Broadoak Academy for providing their fantastic Year 10 students to support the event, and to our amazing Haywood Village Academy PTFA Events for running the refreshment stall throughout the day and kindly providing every child with an ice pop. 🌞🍦

🚶‍♀️🌿💙 HVA Charity Wetlands Walk 💙🌿🚶‍♂️

What an amazing day! Our whole school community took part in a walk from Haywood Village Academy to the Wetlands and back to raise awareness for Diabetes UK.
We are incredibly proud of our pupils for showing such enthusiasm, determination and community spirit while supporting an important cause. Together, we’ve taken steps towards raising awareness and making a difference!

🌿🍃 Our Reception children have had a fantastic time at Forest School this term! From exploring nature and sensory trails to developing teamwork and confidence, every session has been filled with adventure, learning and lots of smiles. We are so proud of their curiosity and enthusiasm as they discover the great outdoors! 🌳✨ 💚🌿

Our pupils enjoyed an exciting visit to Williams Racing, where they learned about the technology, teamwork and innovation behind Formula 1.

🎶🌟 Spreading smiles through song! 🌟🎶
A group of our Year 6 pupils had the pleasure of visiting Beach Lawns Care Home, where they shared a selection of songs with the residents.

It was a fantastic opportunity for our pupils to connect with the local community, and the residents' warm welcome made the afternoon even more special. Thank you to Beach Lawns Care Home for hosting us and for making our children feel so welcome.

We are incredibly proud of our Year 6 pupils for representing the school so beautifully and for demonstrating our values through their thoughtful engagement with others.

📚🎶 Read to the Beat this Summer! 🎶📚
This week, we were delighted to welcome Mark from North Somerset Library Service to our assemblies to launch this year’s Summer Reading Challenge.
The 2026 theme, 'Read to the Beat!', encourages children to discover books filled with rhythm, sound and storytelling, showing that reading really can get you moving! 🥁📖
We hope lots of our pupils will head to their local library over the summer, sign up for the challenge, borrow some fantastic books and enjoy a summer full of reading adventures.
