It been a great week so far at camp. The children have had plenty of activities including learning to play the samba drums, making crafts and having a water gun fight to cool down in the heat. Looking forward to the last session tomorrow until the summer.

Great start to holiday camp this week...despite the very hot weather, the children kept busy in the shade and we even managed to have a large water fight to cool down.

We wrapped up for half term on a high in our Forest School after-school session at Westville 🌿✨ with

The children got stuck into some creative crafting — which was perfect because we made pinecone (clay) hedgehogs 🦔 and, to celebrate National Bee Week 🐝, some of the children created pinecone bees to show their appreciation for these amazing pollinators.

One of our older children really stepped up and put their fire-lighting skills to the test 🔥, successfully building our group fire — all in preparation for a very exciting treat… S’more Bursts! 🍪
(That’s marshmallow + Starburst sandwiched in a biscuit… and yes, it’s as good as it sounds — the kids LOVED it! 😄)

As always, our sessions were full of child-led play, exploration, and teamwork.

We’ll be taking a short break over half term, but we’ll be back at Westville soon for our final few sessions of the school year — we can’t wait! 🌳💚
