A Final Friday Farewell….
And so, reluctantly, we must say goodbye to our very own Thelma and Louise, riding off into the retirement sunset and it is very much deserved. They work so incredibly hard, giving everything they can to make St David’s what it is. It’s impossible to describe the legacy they leave behind them and even more impossible to imagine the days ahead without both of them being here.
Mrs Handy, always with a warm hug and a smile to greet you, was first a Parent here before joining the team some 20 years ago. Her support to the children, staff and Parents will be missed beyond measure. Always with a listening ear or a shoulder to cry on, her compassion is endless.
Mrs Foulger, once a student of St David’s herself, then a Parent, then a Teacher here before becoming Head. She embodies all of the SDP values in everything she does and ensures that the children know ‘if you can be one thing….be kind’. She IS St David’s - it’s undoubtedly part of her DNA.
Together they have kept the engine running but it’s now time to hand over the keys as we welcome Mrs Carmichael-Line as Head and Mr King as School Business Manager in September.
Thank you both for the many memories, your endless hard work, dedication and most importantly, love. We’ll carry it with us, always.
