Fridays are for chickens, garden water fights and geckos obviously 🙄

🌳 Buchan Country Park

From waving at beeping trucks travelling on the road under the bridge, to counting the ducks, foraging for blackberries, spotting faces on the totem pole, climbing trees, spotting our letters on signs, and challenging ourselves physically, to enjoying group stories.

What a wonderful Thursday.

🥵 Well that was a hot start to our week, but great fun too. So lovely to see so many friendly deer all wanting to be hand fed 🦌

The highlight was watching one wee apparently 🫣

Once we’d run out of feed we headed to the shady adventure play park for a spot of climbing and digging.

⛴️ Following a discussion around which toy properties were ok to play with in water, the children explored the properties of different materials by testing which ones float or sink and used their ideas to design and make boats that would float on the water, developing their curiosity, problem-solving and scientific thinking.

🌳 Tuesdays find us covered in dusty dirt and blackberry juice, finishing our day with a foot spa and ice cream 🍦
