We’re winding down over here at Wood and Wild, so we just wanted to wish you all a very 🎄Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year! 🎄

We hope you have a lovely break and we’ll see you in January!

🌿 Calling all home-ed and flexi-school families!

Bring your 5–10 year olds to our weekly Forest School Session, every Tuesday, 10:00 - 11:45am, on the beautiful woodland grounds of Wood & Wild.

In these sessions, children are free to explore, play, and learn at their own pace:

Build dens 🛖

Cook on a campfire 🔥

Use real tools (safely!) 🪚

Make woodland crafts ✂️

Discover nature in all its wonder 🌱

We believe in child-led learning, so our activities follow your child’s curiosity. Through play and collaboration, they’ll build confidence, resilience, and teamwork.

✨ You can drop off, stay, or mix it up — whatever works for your family. As the term continues, we’ll be expanding to longer sessions in the new year, giving kids even more time to deeply connect with nature.

What to bring: Packed lunch, water bottle, and weather-appropriate clothes.

Come and discover the magic of Wood and Wild at our OPEN EVENT on TUESDAY 4TH NOVEMBER, 12:30–1:30PM at beautiful Pondtail Woods! 🌲

This is your chance to explore our forest space, meet the team, and see what happens in our nurturing, child-led Forest School sessions. Children can explore, play, and connect with nature while grown-ups enjoy a warm drink and a wander through the woods.

This session is designed for toddlers who are starting to feel secure on their feet, although we welcome all children aged 0-5.

Child-led exploration, messy play and woodland crafts, plus a hot drink for the grownups - what’s not to like?!
