When Matthew first started Kumon, learning was a daily struggle. He couldn’t hold a pencil properly, couldn’t read, and could only count to 14. He found it almost impossible to concentrate for more than two minutes and often tried to disrupt lessons. He needed constant supervision, and his mum regularly received calls from school about his behaviour.
One year later, Matthew is a different child. He can count confidently past 100, add up to +5 mentally, sight-read familiar words, and willingly attempt new words on his own. He now comes into class politely, sits down, and works independently with focus and confidence. Most importantly, his mum no longer receives calls from school about his behaviour.
