What a mic drop testimonial!

"Coach Joe was everything I was looking for and nothing I wasn’t. Going from working out in the field to an office job. My usual active self was getting slower and slower. Putting work first. It was when the Mrs said I was starting to get sleep apnea that it was time to do something about it. And like most people I’d given everything a go. But when the scales fluctuated up and down I quickly gave up. 6 weeks in and it’s the best decision I’ve ever made.
-Eating is on track✔️
-Getting out and getting my steps in every day ✔️
-Exercising 3 times a week a week even though my back was shagged✔️
-Seep apnea gone and stopped snoring✔️
Some times you just need to leave these things to a professional to help you through it. 👍 to Coach Joe."

Thank you Josh! Looking forward to the rest of the journey.

DM me to get started.

🥧 Enjoy a good pie for smoko?

Yeah… me too.

And if you’re a Kiwi bloke over 40 trying to get fitter, healthier and lose a few kilos, you DON’T need to give up every food you enjoy to get there.

There’s so much bu****it fitness advice online making normal blokes think they need to eat like a bodybuilder, train like an elite athlete and live on chicken and broccoli just to get in shape.

You don’t.

You can still have the pie.

You can still have a beer with your mates.

You can still go out for dinner with the family.

Getting results isn’t about being perfect. It’s about getting the important stuff right MOST of the time and having a plan you can actually stick to.

Because if your “healthy lifestyle” means giving up everything you enjoy…

how long are you really going to stick with it?

If you’re a Kiwi bloke over 40 who wants to lose the gut, move better, feel better and get healthier without living like a bodybuilder, flick me a message with the word PIE 🥧

TESTIMONIAL TUESDAY 👊

This is Tomas.

I've known Tomas for over 20 years. We wrestled together back in the day, and he's always been a bloody good bloke.

So it's pretty cool to now be helping him with his health and fitness all these years later.

And he's only just getting started…

«"I'm only a quarter of the way through the program and I'm already feeling every benefit of it. I can't recommend Joe enough."»

Mate, I really appreciate the words.

But the credit goes both ways — Tomas is showing up, doing the work and trusting the process.

And we're only a quarter of the way in.

Plenty more to come. 👊

I reckon one of the biggest problems with fitness on social media is this...

Most of the blokes I talk to don't want to be bodybuilders.

They don't want to compete in Hyrox.

They don't want to be strongmen or spend hours in the gym.

They just want to lose the gut, have more energy, and be around longer for their family.

But then they jump on Instagram...

And they're bombarded with shredded influencers telling them they need to train six days a week, eat perfectly, and optimise every part of their life.

No wonder so many blokes feel overwhelmed.

Here's the truth...

You don't need to live like a professional athlete to get healthy.

You just need a plan that fits around your work, your family, and your life.

Because fitness should fit around your life...

Not become your life.

**TESTIMONIAL TUESDAY 💪**

One of the things I enjoy most about coaching is helping good people get that little bit better.

Michael Richards is exactly that.

He's an incredibly dedicated guy who always puts in the work, stays coachable, and is constantly looking for ways to improve.

Over the 12 weeks we worked together, one of our biggest focuses was improving his mobility.

Not only did he make some awesome progress, but hearing that it made such a positive impact means a lot to me.

Thanks for trusting me with your journey, Michael. I really appreciate the kind words and the effort you put in every step of the way.

It's clients like you that make coaching so rewarding.

If you're struggling with stiffness, mobility, or you're overwhelmed by all the conflicting fitness advice out there...

Send me a DM with **"READY"** and let's put together a plan that actually works for you.

Most blokes don't fail because they lack motivation.

They fail because they try to change everything overnight.

They cut out all the foods they enjoy.

They train 6 days a week.

They try to be "perfect".

Then life happens...

And they're right back where they started.

I'd rather help someone build habits they can actually stick to.

Start with something as simple as carrying a water bottle.

Hit your protein target.

Go for a daily walk.

Train a few times each week.

Once that becomes normal, we build on it.

That's how real, long-term results happen.

Not through motivation.

Through habits you can repeat over and over again.

If you're a Kiwi bloke over 40 and you're sick of starting over every Monday, flick me a message.

Let's build something you can actually stick to.

"Somehow I lost weight."

That message landed in my inbox this week.

The funny thing?

He'd actually been eating more.

A couple of weeks ago, we had him in a fairly aggressive calorie deficit to get him ready for an event.

Once that was over, I increased his calories back towards maintenance.

Like most people, he was worried.

"Am I going to put all the weight back on?"
A week later...

He stepped on the scales.
He'd lost more weight.

This is why coaching is about more than just telling someone to "eat less."

Sometimes eating less is the answer.
Sometimes eating more is.

Knowing when to make those changes is what matters.

Fat loss isn't just about slashing calories lower and lower until you're surviving on lettuce and black coffee.

It's about understanding how your body responds, managing fatigue, keeping training performance up, and making the right adjustment at the right time.

These are the little decisions that most people never even think about.

And they're often the difference between someone who stays stuck... and someone who gets results while still enjoying their life.

That's why people hire a coach.

Not because they don't know that vegetables are healthy.

But because they want someone who knows what to change, when to change it, and why.

If you're a bloke over 40 who's tired of guessing and second-guessing everything, flick me a message. I'd be happy to point you in the right direction. 💪

IF I HAD TO START MY FITNESS JOURNEY ALL OVER AGAIN…

Knowing what I know now...

If I had no motivation, no gym, and no bloody idea where to start, here's exactly what I'd do.

I'd forget about the "perfect program."

I'd stop worrying about calories, supplements, and fancy workouts.

I'd make it so simple that it almost feels ridiculous.

✅ Nutrition: Eat one piece of fruit and drink a big glass of water every morning.

✅ Fitness: Do one squat, one push-up, and walk once around the block. That's it. If I felt like doing more, great. If not, I'd still call it a win.

✅ Wellness: Take five slow, deep breaths before bed.

Why?

Because motivation is unreliable.

Action creates motivation—not the other way around.

When something is so easy you can't fail, you start building trust in yourself.

Those tiny wins become habits.

Those habits become your lifestyle.

And before you know it, the bloke who could barely do one squat is the same bloke who trains three times a week without even thinking about it.

People massively overestimate what they need to do to get started...
..and massively underestimate what small actions, repeated consistently, can do over the next 12 months.

Start so small it feels laughable.

Because laughably easy, done every day, beats the perfect plan you never start. 💪

TESTIMONIAL TUESDAY 💪

One of the biggest challenges for anyone starting their fitness journey is knowing who to listen to.

There's so much conflicting advice out there that it's easy to feel overwhelmed before you've even begun.

That's why I believe in keeping things simple.

Simple, sustainable habits that actually fit into your life.

Leom was one of my very first online coaching clients, and trusting me with that means a lot.

As a pro wrestler, he's already got plenty on his plate, so hearing him say that the biggest thing he got from coaching was having all the confusion stripped away and a clear plan to follow is exactly why I do what I do.

Leom, mate, thank you for trusting me from day one. I really appreciate the effort you've put in, and it's been awesome watching you build confidence and make coaching work around your life.

If you're a bloke who's sick of all the conflicting fitness advice and just wants someone to simplify it and show you what actually works...

Send me a DM with "READY" and let's have a chat.
