The countdown to the GCSE exams has officially started, and we have less than a year to go! To ensure our students feel completely confident, deeply prepared, and stress-free, Step Up Tutors is launching our dedicated weekly GCSE Maths Test Paper Walkthrough Sessions.
These sessions will run every single week from now until their final exams next May.
📅 Starts: Wednesday, 1st July
⏰ Time: 6:00 PM to approx. 8:30 PM (2.5+ hours)
🧠 How our unique sessions work:
Hour 1: Students will complete a full GCSE Maths paper (tailored for Edexcel, AQA, or OCR) under focused, realistic exam conditions.
The Swap: I will collect their completed papers and hand them a fresh, blank copy of the exact same test.
The Walkthrough (1.5+ hours): I will solve the entire paper step-by-step on the whiteboard.
Why this method? It provides instant, targeted feedback. If a student struggles with a specific problem, they immediately see the exact thought process and technique required to solve it while the question is still fresh in their minds. The following week, they receive their fully corrected and graded paper so we can carefully track their progress. 📈
By consistently facing real exam papers every Wednesday, students will experience a huge variety of questions, build incredible fluency, and completely eliminate exam-day nervousness.
