You’ll only see the scaled score - not the raw marks. 100 is the expected standard. But the numbers either side of it carry meaning too, as your child heads into secondary.

🧐 Three Maths papers, two days, and no calculator 🧮

You most likely know the shape of it already - one Arithmetic, two Reasoning. But it’s worth keeping the timings and mark breakdowns somewhere easy to find, especially when you’re planning revision around everything else in life.

With SATs week just around the corner (11–14 May 2026), we’re breaking it all down for you — no jargon, no panic.

Here’s what Year 6 children will sit:

✏️ English GPS — a 45-min grammar & punctuation paper, plus a 20-word spelling test

📖 English Reading — 60 minutes of comprehension, inference and evidence-finding

🔢 Maths — an arithmetic paper plus two reasoning papers
The more your child knows what to expect, the more confident they’ll feel walking in. 💪
