Just dropping this like it’s hot on your feed for today …

The relocation update is that there is no update 🥲, so at this stage we’re still homeless from the 9th of December 🫠

Rochelle… if you ever sit in my lash bed, I’ve already got your lash map planned 😂

Here’s exactly how I’d do her lashes and, more importantly, why I’d choose this shape for her eyes.

Would you have mapped her differently? 👀

Things that manuals can’t teach you…

A manual can teach you the theory, show you the steps and give you something to refer back to 📓

But there are some things you only really learn when someone is there with you, watching you work.

Knowing why something isn’t working, learning how to look at a set and know what needs changing, building confidence in your own decisions, understanding how to take what you’ve learnt and actually apply it once you’re back on your own.

Eva and Abigail both joined me for my Classic Beginners Course, and these are some of the sets they’ve gone on to create since.

And then there’s Evie, who came to me for a refresher, not because she needed to start again, but because she needed to identify what was holding her back and work on it.

Seeing the difference between her work before and after her training is exactly why I love teaching.

The goal of training isn’t for you to leave knowing how to copy me, it’s for you to leave understanding enough to make your own decisions 🖤

I genuinely wish I could go back and redo every set I did on this girl. 😂

When I look at my old work, I don’t just see bad lashes, I see a lash artist who knew how to create a set, but didn’t yet understand how much the individual eye shape should influence the way that set was designed.

Her eyes are naturally round and downturned, but I was giving her big, heavy volume sets and carrying the shape right into the outer corner.

So instead of creating lift, I was emphasising the down turn, and in doing so was giving her the dreaded “droop”.

Fast forward to now, and I approach her eyes completely differently. I’ve taken the weight away from the outer corner and created a shape that works with her eyes rather than simply following them.

This girl taught me one of the biggest lessons I’ve ever learnt about lash mapping 🖤

Bespoke 1-1 Mentoring👩🏻‍🏫

I often get asked a lot of questions surrounding my bespoke 1-1 mentoring, which is why I filmed the 14 days with Niamh.

You watched me at the start plan to do 4 physical training days, then after 1, changed my mind and we changed direction completely. Even after having an initial consultation and discussing what Niamh felt to be her problem areas.

The truth is, mentoring will look different for everyone, and the entire focus is that it is bespoke to you.

I offer free consultation calls, with 0 obligation to enrol, just so I can tell you if I think this is actually for you, and my recommended steps. Prices range massively due to the bespoke element of this, and all mentoring is on a pay as you go scheme, as like with Niamh, we may find that actually the initial plan we had needs changing, and that your problem areas actually lay elsewhere.

The options range from me visiting you in your workspace, you coming to me, zoom calls & more. It’s hard for me to give quotes because of the nature of this form of teaching & just trust me when I say, at the end of the phone call, there’s no pressured “sign up now to receive £X off”, or me hounding you all salesy - that is NOT my vibe 😭.

Let me be the first person who actually cares about your journey, not just securing the sale. After the phone call, all communication is in YOUR court, if you want to never speak to me again - so be it! I’m not an annoying sales person 😌🖤

A little BTS from yesterday’s mini brand shoot, following our 1-1 Wispy Masterclass 🎥

Every By Kenzi training day includes an optional complimentary mini brand shoot, because I don’t think your training should end when you leave the room.

I want you to leave with the knowledge, confidence and content to actually start putting everything you’ve learnt into practice.

Well done you absolutely smashed it 🖤

Same client. different approach. 👀

In 2019, I gave her a very standard black hybrid set - which was doing nothing for her.

Fast forward to now, and I’ve completely changed the strategy.

A brown angel-wispy set, with the longest wisps placed exactly where her eye begins to slope down, creating lift rather than following the eye downward.

14 days ago, the question was simple: could Niamh build enough momentum in her beauty business to make her second job feel optional?

We set three goals:

50 new followers.
40,000 profile views.
10 new bookings.

She finished with 155 new followers, 80,000 profile views, and 18 new clients.

But the biggest change wasn’t really any of those numbers.

It was watching her go from second-guessing herself, avoiding the camera and needing reassurance… to making decisions, speaking confidently to clients, creating content and actually trusting herself as a business owner.

And after everything these two weeks have shown her, she’s decided not to sign the contract.

This was never about pretending 14 days can magically build a full-time business overnight.

It was about giving something she already had a real chance, and I think she’s done exactly that.

So proud of you 🖤

14 Days to Full-Time🫱🏼‍🫲🏽complete.

And somehow the finale was delayed because she was fully booked yesterday, which feels like a pretty fitting ending 😂

14 Days to Full-Time - Episode 10: taking it offline 📍

We’ve spent the last 10 days working on Niamh’s skills, confidence, content and booking journey… but ultimately, she doesn’t need everyone to know who she is.

She needs the right people, in the right area, to know she exists.

So today we took the challenge offline and went around Wellingborough + surrounding areas putting her name in front of more local people.

Huge thank you to all the lovely businesses who let us leave cards with them:

hair

And yes… we did bottle it in the first shop and yes, some cards may also now be dotted around Asda 😂

A couple of weeks ago, even walking into businesses and introducing herself would’ve felt massively outside Niamh’s comfort zone. Today she did it anyway.

Now we wait and see whether getting in front of more local people turns into more bookings 👀

14 Days to Full-Time - Episode 9: turning doubt into proof 🤍

already offered LVL before this challenge, she just didn’t fully trust herself with it.

So after a mini masterclass with another amazing artist , it was time to see whether that extra understanding actually translated onto a real model.

And this was the result 🥹

This wasn’t about adding another treatment to her price list. It was about taking something she felt unsure about and giving her enough proof to realise she actually knows what she’s doing.

Because sometimes confidence doesn’t come first. Sometimes you do the thing, see the result… and then the confidence follows.
