Gillham School of Performing Arts Welcome to the Gillham School of Performing Arts, Welling’s first class studio venue for Dance and Performing Arts

Whether looking to pursue a career as a performer, or dancing for a hobby, students are encouraged to reach their full potential and take away with them confidence, resilience and some wonderful memories. Our students enjoy a huge variety of opportunities during their time with us including performances, exams, competitions and auditions. Many have gone on to continue their training professionally at some of the top performing arts colleges and schools in the country. GSPA was founded in 2007 by Principal Laura Gillham and provides training in dance and performing arts to the highest possible standards, aiming to produce strong, technical dancers and all round performers.

Welcoming Ariane Tighe to the team this week!

Ariane grew up in Dublin, Ireland, where she trained from a young age in ballet, contemporary, jazz, and a variety of other styles. At 11, she was accepted into the Irish National Youth Ballet Company, where she trained and performed for nine years in numerous professional productions, including annual performances of The Nutcracker, and danced leading roles such as Cinderella, Sleeping Beauty, and the Snow Queen.

At 17, she began full-time training at The College of Dance, Ireland, before making the move to London to study at Bird Conservatoire, where she graduated with an Honours Degree in Professional Dance and Musical Theatre.

She has since completed her Diploma in Dance Education for ISTD Ballet and is currently working towards her Modern Theatre qualification.

Ariane has loved assisting at Gillham over the past year and is excited to begin teaching and sharing her passion for dance with our wonderful students!

We are excited to introduce to our faculty Rihana Ogborne who will be teaching with us from next week!

Rihana trained professionally at Performers College, where she was fortunate enough to experience many incredible performance opportunities both during her training and after graduating. One of her career highlights includes performing as a backing dancer for Becky Hill at Wembley Stadium.

Having grown up as a competitive dancer, Rihana has a real passion for developing young performers. Over the past seven years she has choreographed many award winning routines and has built an excellent reputation as a teacher. She now teaches across London and is committed to sharing her love of dance and inspiring the next generation.

We know she is going to be a fantastic addition to the GSPA family and we are so excited for our students to learn from her!
