🎉 Congratulations to our incredible GCSE students! 🎉
What an amazing set of results — and what an outstanding year group! 🌟
📚 78.8% of all GCSE grades were 7–9
🏆 56.9% were 8–9
🥇 29.8% achieved the highest possible grade 9
And some truly remarkable individual achievements:
✨ One student achieved 12 grade 9s
✨ Six students achieved 11 grade 9s
✨ 26 students achieved at least 11 grades at 8 or 9
English and maths results were equally impressive, with 82% of students achieving grades 7–9 in both subjects, alongside an outstanding Attainment 8 score of 78.23. 👏
But these results are about more than academic excellence. 💙 They reflect the hard work, ambition and determination of our students, the dedication of our staff, and the tremendous support of our families.
We are especially proud that these outstanding results reflect Blue Coat’s commitment to being a truly inclusive school, where pupils from all backgrounds can thrive. 🌟
Our own school analysis shows that pupils with SEND and those eligible for Free School Meals achieve very strongly compared with their peers and outperform their respective national comparison groups.
This builds on the latest published data, which showed Blue Coat’s disadvantaged pupils achieved an Attainment 8 score of 70.9, compared with 34.9 nationally — and even above the 50.4 national figure for non-disadvantaged pupils. 💪
