Hope you all had a relaxing Christmas and are ready for 2026 😁

I really enjoyed seeing all the yarn bombing on our trip to Devon over the hols, the old school in Appledore looked amazing! Lots of postbox toppers too, some truly clever knitters and crocheters out there!

Thought I’d quickly share a couple of pics of my latest project, a lovely cardi in King Cole super chunky Explorer yarn. Decided to work on the back first as it’s easy peasy stocking stitch. I’m hoping this is what it will look like eventually!

I wondered what on earth had gone on this morning when I opened FB to see a load of clicks on my craft account.

Then I realised people must have landed on my page by accident after Game of Wool launched last night on Channel 4. They call their venue the Yarn Barn, which is rather a happy coincidence for me 😃

Making the most of the long weekend off work and enjoying some Devon sunshine. Hope you’ve all had a good Easter 🐣

Glad to have time to concentrate on my Rowan Yarns Elder Throw at last, release 3 cable panels started. It’s a super pattern if you want to learn different stitches & techniques and I’ve been using up left over yarn combined with their recommended colours too. Happy days! I’m such a slow knitter in comparison to crochet mind you but I’m getting there!
