The whole team has been busy at work this Monday 😄

Amongst many other things, we’ve been completing T-shirt orders, cooking and cleaning in the café, and getting the park back tidy after all the weekend fun 🧹

You’ll also be pleased to know we’ve made a start on cleaning up the outside seating area ready for summer. We’ve got some big plans in place for this, with some really exciting new changes coming for those warm summer days, hopefully not too far away ☀️

At lunch, we even found a bit of time to throw in some birthday celebrations for one of the longest serving members of the team. Happy Birthday Michael 🥳

As always, the Life Skills team are at the heart of everything we do here at Dexx, continuing to improve and build the best activity centre in the area 💚

A huge thank you to everyone who has kindly donated toys to our new toddler area recently 🙌🏽

This week, our team has been busy cleaning and refreshing everything, getting it all ready to be loved and enjoyed by lots of new little ones ☺️

If you have any toys you’d like to donate, please feel free to drop them into reception. We’d be delighted to give them a new home! 💚

Today, we delved into the world of Emergency First Aid, highlighting just how vital it is to keep ourselves, and those around us, safe ⛑️

First aid is an essential life skill, particularly in a workplace like ours. At the Family Activity Centre, safety and fun go hand in hand 😄

Within our Life Skills team, our approach to first aid is always on a supported basis, ensuring everyone can learn and participate in a safe, guided environment. Being confident in how to respond during an emergency allows us create a secure and happy space for everyone who visits 👌🏽

These skills extend far beyond the workplace too. First aid knowledge helps us to protect our families and communities in everyday life. From minor incidents to serious emergencies, knowing how to act can make a difference 💚

It’s been a fantastic day of learning, teamwork, and confidence building. Well done to everyone for their effort and enthusiasm throughout the afternoon 👏🏽

We’re back and ready to smash 2026! 💥

We’ve had a really positive and productive start to the year, beginning with a group sit-down to share stories from everyone’s Christmas and New Year celebrations. It was a really nice way to reconnect and ease ourselves back into the year ☺️

We also spent time discussing our standards and expectations for the year ahead, and began exploring both individual and group goals that we’ll continue to build on over the coming weeks. On top of that, we’ve started planning some exciting trips and activities for the year ahead 🌍

Having these conversations early on is so important to us. It helps ensure everyone feels supported, motivated, and clear about their purpose and direction for the year ahead ☺️

We hope you’ve all had a brilliant start to 2026 too. Let’s smash this year together! 💚

We’ll see you in 2026 for another stacked year of blended work & life skills, education, activities, and more... As well as some exciting new park changes, but still the same old friendly faces 😄

The start of this week has been a very busy one as we got cracking with our Christmas refurbishment, getting the park ready to welcome all our lovely customers back in the New Year! 🔜

Despite the busy schedule, we still made sure to set aside some time to sit together as a group and reflect on 2025. We talked about the places we’ve visited this year and shared ideas about where we might like to go next 🌍 We also discussed what we’ve learned in the classroom, along with topics we’d like to explore in the year ahead 📚

We spent time reviewing both personal and group goals, celebrating what we’ve achieved and starting to think about setting new goals early next year 📝 And finished the session by chatting about Christmas and everyone’s festive plans 🎄🎅🏽

Even during our busiest weeks, we feel it’s incredibly important to pause and have these conversations, especially at the end of the year. Taking time to reflect on achievements and look ahead helps everyone feel proud, focused, and excited for what’s to come ☺️

We’re really looking forward to finishing the year with our Christmas outing next week, but if we don’t post again before then, we’d like to wish everyone a very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year 🥂 🎇

December is finally here, and we just couldn’t wait another second to bring the Christmas magic to life at Dexx!🎄 🎁 ✨

Our amazing team has spent the day turning the place into a festive wonderland, ready for all our lovely customers to enjoy. Decorating together is always a fantastic team building activity. It gets everyone into the holiday spirit and gives us a great boost to our overall health and wellbeing! 🎅🏽 ☃️ ❄️

✨ Hospital Passports! ✨

This week at Life Skills, we began creating hospital passports for everyone on the team! 🩺

A hospital passport is a really useful document that shares key information about a person — things like health needs, communication preferences, and what helps them feel comfortable — so hospital staff can provide the best possible care when it’s needed 🏥

These passports ensure that if anyone needs to go to hospital, staff can quickly understand their individual needs and deliver person-centred care. It’s all about having a voice and being understood, even in stressful situations ☺️

At Life Skills, we truly care about our team’s wellbeing — and that care extends far beyond the building 💚

This week we’ve back in the classroom, diving into the important topic of Financial Safety 💰

At Dexx Life Skills, we believe that knowledge is power, especially when it comes to protecting ourselves and our finances 🔒

We learned how to safeguard our money and personal information, recognise the warning signs of scams, and know where to turn for help if something doesn’t feel right 🗣️

The team had some fantastic discussions, shared real-life experiences, and built confidence in making smart, safe financial choices. Every day is a learning day at Dexx! 💚

Spooky season is still in full swing! 🧟‍♂️

Today, our team wondered out to a local farm in search of the perfect pumpkins, and we found some real winners! After a bit of muddy fun, a few photos, and some warm drinks in the café, we headed back to let our creative sides shine through with carving, painting, and then adding the masterpieces to our already frightful Halloween display 🎃

It was a fantastic day filled with laughter, fresh air, and plenty of team bonding. There’s nothing quite like a bit of autumn fun and creativity to bring everyone together 🍂
