TheraParent Fostering is a Family-run fostering agency based in Waterlooville, Hampshire. Our Team is run by Mike Spencer, his daughter Katie Gibson-Cook and her husband Mark Gibson-Cook. What makes us unique is our personal experience mixed with our professional experience. We have a combined total of over 30 years’ experience as Foster/Adoptive parents, caring for children aged 0-18 years, along

side over 55 years’ combined experience in Social Work. We have worked for many fostering agencies and have developed a high level of experience as a team together. We decided to register TheraParent Fostering in response to the growing need for Therapeutic support for children who are looked after. We know what support works for foster parents and we also know what support the children in their care need. We are incredibly passionate about offering homes to children which are safe, nurturing, fun and therapeutic. We believe all children in care deserve to cared for therapeutically therefore we use our personal and professional skills, experience and extensive training to support our families closely. We are a close knit and highly supportive team who strive to create positive outcomes for the children in our care.

What a great day!! 🤩 We are blown away by how many of our foster families, children and staff stopped by to say hello 💚 It was a super proud day for Mark, Mike and I where we were able to look around and be surrounded by so many amazing people we get to work with everyday 🥹 It’s incredible to reflect on far our little agency has come. We’ve had some great conversations with people interested in fostering too who may well be at the start of their journey to join us! 💚 A huge thanks to the amazing for yet another year with us - we’ll see you next year!
