HOW I BOUNCED BACK FROM FAILURE -
Champions never give up!

Failure is inevitable in life. But you can always bounce back. Champions never give up. It is what we do about failure that matters. Many students who go to the university especially in their first year can be distracted by many things. Sadly, many of them allow the 'freedom' to do whatever they like get the best of them and they get 'lost' and forget why they are at the University in the first place. Watch this video to see how a young man almost ruined his career by spending too much time partying rather than studying. He performed very badly in his exams but did not stay defeated. He sought appropriate help and bounced back and graduated with a first-class honours degree. Watch this video and be inspired. Anyone can fail. But champions never give up.

Many students get admitted into the university to acquire a qualification. Most succeed in doing so. However, there are a few who face all sorts of challenges and are unable to successfully complete their studies. This Channel, STUDENT CHAMPIONS: WHAT'S THEIR SECRET, is about unravelling the secrets of student champions. Why is it that some students do excellently well at university, why some drop out and never return? What is the secret behind their success, and why is it that some fail to achieve desired results? ABSTRACT
Students in secondary and tertiary education settings face a wide range of ongoing stressors related to academic demands. Previous research indicates that academic-related stress can reduce academic achievement, decrease motivation and increase the risk of school dropout. The longer-term impacts, which include reduced likelihood of sustainable employment, cost Governments billions of dollars each year. This narrative review presents the most recent research concerning the impact of academic-related stress, including discussion of the impact on students’ learning capacity and academic performance, mental health problems, such as depression and anxiety, sleep disturbances and substance use.

We recently shipped a container load of books covering a wide range of subjects to Anchor University, Lagos, Nigeria.
