Wild in Washington

Wild in Washington To Bring together People in the community, the wonderland of Washington and the local area. We shal

Washington is nestled in the foot hills of the South Downs, surrounded by farm land, footpaths, open access and National Trust land, with the natural beauty of the land radiating from the earth's rich soils. The pockets of woodland and hedgerows are alive and home to many beings. The land here is full of history, stories and use by humans, and the many flora and fauna that thrive here. Washington

is well placed within the landscape of the Sussex Downs and Weald to continue to be a catalyst for positive change. We believe there to be a link of the loss of species and habitats to the wider disconnect from nature that the vast majority of people are currently experiencing. Wild in Washington will engage local people to foster a deeper sense of connection with the land; a rediscovery of a sense of place. The wonder that follows will help sow the seeds to create an ecological way of living and a working symbiosis of the land, humans and other beings. We hope to give opportunity for the local community to work together, starting to question what grows and why. To create an arena for all habitats to thrive There is an abundance of knowledge in the local and surrounding area. Wild in Washington aims to create a magical space where this wealth of information can be passed on like ripples in a pond.
