The audience were captivated throughout the performance, you could have heard a pin drop, before the evening concluded with thunderous applause for Sterling and the Orchestra of the Swan musicians.

Last Friday, the Foundation was proud to partner with Campaign to Protect Rural England (CPRE) and the Warwick Schools Foundation Multi-Academy Trust, to plant more than 120 meters of hedgerow trees across our Warwick Campus and Westgate Primary School.
Around 130 pupils from Warwick Preparatory School, Warwick Junior School, King's High School, Warwick School and Westgate Primary School took part in the project through their respective Eco-clubs. These clubs champion action to protect our environment for future generations of pupils, and so they were thrilled to be involved in this opportunity.
This collaborative effort marks another step in the Foundation’s ongoing commitment to sustainability and environmental education.

The conclusion of this term represents another filled with inspiration and opportunity thanks to our partnership with Orchestra of the Swan.
Since we embarked on our partnership with them in 2021, the Swan have provided some unforgettable evenings of music at Warwick Hall, along with first-class musical opportunities for our students, and educational outreach with schools in our local community.
Most recently, Once Upon a Time in America on Wednesday, 19 November afforded our students with the unique and invaluable opportunity to perform side-by-side with the professional Swan orchestra, whilst primary schools from our local community were also invited to watch the Swan rehearse ahead of their final performance.
The concert itself featured the first-rate music-making that Swan audiences have become so accustomed to, with their orchestra putting on a wonderful performance alongside pianist Viv McLean and conductor Rebecca Miller.
With two more concerts upcoming at Warwick Hall in the new year — Night Music on Sunday, 25 January and Four Notes and the Truth on Tuesday, 3 March — don't miss your chance to experience one of these unforgettable nights for yourself.
Book your tickets for the upcoming concerts via the Bridge House Theatre & Warwick Hall website.

On Wednesday, our Foundation community came together to exchange gifts and share a moment of connection during the festive period. The tradition initially started after COVID, with the aim of getting pupils back together to reunite and connect after a period of social distancing. In the last couple of years, the gift exchange has involved the Heads of our schools, but this year, our pupils once again got involved in the festive cheer.
Pupils from each of our schools — along with their respective Heads — presented a gift to the others on behalf of their school, whilst Foundation Bursar, Victoria Espley presented a gift on behalf of our Professional Services departments and Foundation Principal, Richard Nicholson presented gifts on behalf of the Foundation and Warwick Schools Foundation Multi Academy Trust.
The gifts given by all were thoughtful and festive; Warwick Preparatory School's gift was a friendship rose from the Royal Horticultural Society, Warwick Junior School's gift was a hand-painted Christmas ornament, The Kingsley School's gift was a hand-decorated Christmas bauble, King's High School's gift was a poinsettia plant, and Warwick School's gift was an embossed notebook featuring a golden illustration of the school. The gifts were all gratefully received and the exchange undoubtedly represented the importance of giving during this time of year.

The iconic curtain of light is a cherished part of Warwick's Christmas celebrations and has illuminated Warwick’s Market Square each festive season since 2015. After the previous set of lights reached the end of their life, the Foundation was delighted to be able to support the installation a completely new display.
The Christmas Lights Switch-On event took place on Thursday’s Victorian Evening, where residents and visitors came together to share the community spirit and enjoy the much-loved display.
Richard Nicholson, Warwick Schools Foundation Principal, commented:
“The Christmas lights in Market Square are a true hallmark of the festive period in our town, and for many in the community, the iconic lights switch-on event signifies the beginning of their Christmas celebrations. We are delighted to support the continuation of this tradition for this year and those to come, bringing joy to our community."

Warwick Schools Foundation has achieved Food for Life Served Here Bronze certification from the Soil Association Food for Life.
Food for Life Served Here certification recognises and celebrates caterers who use sustainable ingredients, champion good practice, and cook from scratch. It also verifies that the meals we serve are healthy and sustainable, that they are freshly prepared by trained chefs, and that all ingredients are free from additives, artificial trans fats, and GM ingredients.
Certification also means that the meat we serve can be traced back to the farm and meets or exceeds UK animal welfare standards, eggs are free range, fish is sustainable, and menus make the most of seasonal ingredients — all of which reduces the environmental impact of menus.
