🩰✨ Baby Ballet Fun! ✨🩰

This week we attended a Baby Ballet session, and the children absolutely loved it! From tiptoes to twirls, it was a wonderful way to explore movement, rhythm, and creativity in a fun and gentle way. 💕

Sessions like these are a fantastic way to build:

🌸 Coordination
🌸 Social skills
🌸 Creativity

I am always looking for opportunities to give our children magical new experiences – and this one was definitely a hit! 👯

✨ Today was such an exciting day! ✨
The children had a special surprise when they met Blaze the Bear from the local fire station at IKEA 🐻🚒💛. Blaze was so friendly and the children had lots of high five’s 🖐🏼— and gave out lots of smiles too!

Such a lovely memory for the children to take home. 🏡💫

⚽️🌟 Mini Dribblers Fun! 🌟⚽️

Last Thursday the children had an amazing time with Mini Dribblers, learning new football skills through fun games and activities! 🥅✨

They practised dribbling, stopping the ball, and moving with control — building their gross motor skills, coordination and confidence 👣💪.

Most importantly, there were smiles all around as they worked together, cheered for each other and had so much fun! 😍👏

We can’t wait for our next session! 🖤⚽️

✨ Last night I attended a Monkey Bob training course with 🌈🐵 presented by my local authority.

Monkey Bob is a wonderful resource designed to help children explore and talk about their feelings in a safe and supportive way. It’s especially powerful for children who may have experienced domestic abuse, giving them a gentle way to express emotions and build resilience. 💛

I’m really looking forward to bringing these new ideas into my practice with the children — supporting emotional wellbeing, safety, and confidence every day. 🌿💖

🐮🐑🦆 A Farm-tastic day out!

We met the fluffiest Highland cow, cheeky alpacas, and some very chatty ducks. The children loved observing the animals up close, noticing their features, movements, and sounds. This supported their Understanding the World development, helping them learn about living things and their environments. 🌱✨

Afterwards, the children had so much fun at Bents Garden Center –the large sandpit provided opportunities for physical development, as the children dug, built, and used tools, while also practising sharing and turn-taking. 🏖💛

Every adventure is a chance to learn through play! 🌿

🐝 World Bee Day 🐝 / 20th May

We've have a lovely morning on a search for Bees with our friends 🫶🏻

We found a bug hotel and a fabulous board giving us some information about Bees!

We also made some pictures using paints and our hand/eye coordination!!!

As the weather brightens up and the sun ☀️ begins to shine, we are able to spend even more time outside 🙂‍↔️

We spent the morning at Hayloft, visiting the animals, baby lambs, horses, rabbits and many more! The children had kits of run using their gross motor skills, climbing, running and crawling, as well as playing on the mini tractors!!! Lots of fun 🤩

A great day out with our Jo Jingles friends 🫶🏻

We explored the woods looking for the !! We also found a mouse 🐭 an owl 🦉, a fox 🦊 and a snake 🐍!!!

We were wrapped up warm and had our picnic in the forest, in the sunshine ☀️☺️

They have also built a new play area too!!

So privileged to have this wonderful forest on our doorstep, did you know you could become a Forest member? 🌳🦌🪵

✨🌱Spring has Sprung 🌱✨

We had a lovely morning in the garden planting seeds! We scooped and pored the soil into our pots, used special tools to push the seeds into the plant pot then watered them! We can’t wait to see them grow 🌱
We even planted some in a clear pot so we can watch them grow underground!

We continued our scooping and pouring technique with the sand!!! Great way to develop fine motor skills, hand-eye coordination, and understanding of capacity and volume.

✨Developmental benefits:
This activity helps strengthen the muscles in the hands and fingers, improving dexterity and fine motor skills crucial for tasks like writing and buttoning clothes.

Over the past few weeks we have been focusing on our colours!

Learning about colors helps children develop their vocabulary, communication skills, and ability to sort and organise objects!

I have incorporated lots of different textures, shapes and different objects to keep the children engaged - and if they have loved it!!
