Gigcraft

The Gigcraft summer school at Spirit Studios (Manchester) takes place on the Thursday 18th and Friday 19th July. It is open to young people studying in Warrington and Halton in years 9 to 13.

Spirit Studios is a University Institution delivering degress programmes related to the music industry.

You can register as an individual or as a band (if each individual also registers).

Each day runs from 10am until 4.00pm
The workshops are completely free.

Financial support may be available for transport costs if required.

Spirit tutors and special guests from the music industry will be delivering workshops in:

-Songwriting and Performance
-Sound and Lighting for Live Events
-Stage Management, Artist Liason and Music Business
-Photography, Videography and Journalism

At the end of the two days you will work together to produce a live performance and live stream from Spirit's purpose built music venue.

If you are between 14 and 18 and attend a Warrington or Halton School or College, you can sign up for a free 8 week online summer programme exploring Careers in the Music Industry. Following the programme there will be work experience opportunities, hands-on workshops and the chance to devise and organise your own events.
