✨ Maths Through Play ✨

Across our nursery, children of all ages are developing their early maths skills through fun, hands on play. 🔢💛

From counting ducks to our Preschool children creating pizzas 🍕 reading their menus and counting out the correct number of ingredients, maths is included naturally in our everyday play and learning.

Our children have also enjoyed finger painting 🎨, talking about the different colours and counting the marks they made with their fingers, helping to develop both their counting skills and coordination.

These playful experiences help build confidence with numbers and counting from an early age, creating strong foundations for future learning. 🌟

💚 Woodland Adventure Nursery Fundraiser 💚

At Woodland Adventure Nursery in Golborne, we have the privilege of caring for an amazing little boy with a life-limiting condition. Throughout his journey, he has been under the care of the incredible team at Alder Hey Children’s Hospital, whose compassion, dedication and support have meant so much to him and his family. ❤️

To say thank you and give something back, we decided to raise money for Alder Hey. Thanks to the generosity of our nursery staff, parents, local businesses and members of the community, we organised a raffle with an incredible selection of donated prizes. 🎁🎟️

Our fundraising didn’t stop there! Our staff took on a sponsored walk from Golborne to Alder Hey Children’s Hospital 🚶‍♀️🚶‍♂️, while our children completed their own sponsored Daily Mile. Every child took part in a way that was appropriate for their age and ability, walking in the garden, around their rooms, or enjoying the experience in their prams, making it a truly inclusive event. 🌳👣👶

We are absolutely overwhelmed to share that, together, we raised an incredible £3,733.50, with an additional £395.00 in Gift Aid, bringing our grand total to £4,128.50! 🎉💚

We are so proud of everyone who supported our fundraising efforts. A huge thank you to every person who donated, sponsored, bought raffle tickets, contributed prizes, or cheered us on. Your kindness and generosity will help Alder Hey continue the amazing work they do for so many children and families. 💙

From the bottom of our hearts, thank you for helping us make a difference. Every penny raised will help support the outstanding care that Alder Hey provides to children when they need it most. 🌟

Today, our amazing team at Woodland Adventure Nursery are taking on a 10-mile walk to Alder Hey Children’s Hospital in support of a cause that is very close to our hearts 💚

We are privileged to care for a wonderful little boy who receives ongoing care from the incredible team at Alder Hey. We see firsthand the difference their compassion, expertise and support make to him and his family every single day. 🌟 This walk is our way of saying thank you for everything they do.

We couldn’t be prouder of our fantastic team for taking on this challenge together. 👏🥾 We’ll be sharing updates throughout the day, so keep an eye on our page and cheer them on along the way! ✨

Our little ones enjoyed a lovely stroll outdoors in the fresh air. 🌿

Getting outside is such a wonderful way for babies to experience the world around them, taking in the sights, sounds and gentle breeze while enjoying some fresh air.

Our babies had the best time exploring from the comfort of their prams, and all the excitement was so relaxing that two of our little explorers drifted off to sleep during the walk! 💤

We love creating opportunities for our children to enjoy the outdoors, supporting their wellbeing while making happy memories together. 🍃
