March 20th 2020 The government announced the UK 🇬🇧 lockdown which saw schools, leisure, work places etc all shut down which paid to Top Fighter GB 🇬🇧 plans.

Our own road map for competitions would of started with WKC Aberdeen Open, then The Top Ten Open, followed by the US Open and finally The Bristol Open.

We continued to do online training which was a success and when lockdown started to relax we tried to put squad training back on, but with the surge in some areas once again had to be cancelled.

Yesterday we finally came face to face with members and invites and believe me when I say this mid august, summer holidays, people still unsure with Covid we still had 50 fighters turn up to brush of their cobwebs to battle and train hard from 1-3.30pm.

There were some 30 fighters who are away on holiday which we knew and we was very happy with amount of fighters who turned up at the Senshi Academy Dojo run by Benjamin Clark & Lorraine Riley Clark.

These two fine instructors put all the fighters through their paces with fantastic drills, even breakdown techniques so the fighters could understand why they are doing them.

It’s always a pleasure to watch and also important for students/fighters to take back to there own training ground and apply them in class.

It’s not everyday you get quality instructors like these two who are feeding you with information to study, with top fighter that’s what we do and it’s all about developing to the next level.

Taking about next level Christopher Bulpin is your next level fighter this young man who’s just turned 17 is the icing on the cake and the new generation of champion mark my word.

His brother Bradley Bulpin will also follow in his footsteps, proud dad Rob Bkba Bulpin I wanna know the secret of your success.

Cameron Clark, Ben & Lorraine son is also the next generation superstar and one thing I love about Cameron he don’t fear no one, always willing to call out the best fighters for a fight.

Jordan Imbusch wow speed, power he has it all natural, dad Dean Ufma Imbusch has done a fantastic job along with all the other parents.

Stephen Miller aka (The Serial Killer) Brought his SMWS Freestyle Performance Team from Birmingham.

These fighters were mixing it up and trained fantastic. Stephen said “Very good day and can’t wait for the next squad training in Birmingham.”

Andy Thompson from Ipswich brought his Apollo Martial Arts club and for me there was this young girl who could not wait to fight and when she did she was electric Ellie Fife absolutely brilliant.

I had to praise her as she was fighting all the boys and not scared to mix it. Sharon Hunt definitely a Ronda Rousey in the making.

Mark Fry always a pleasure to see him, brough his team who gave a great account of themselves, I was little worried about Mark’s gloves as they looked shredded 😳

Jonny Vaughan former 8x World Champion in points & light contact who made a guess appearance along with dad Rob Vaughan former England 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿 Manager.

First met Jonny at the age of 4 when he won the Watford Open and knew then he was gonna be a star ⭐️ and certainly lived up to expectations, look out for Jonny news flash tomorrow on what he is up to now.

Great to see Richard Allen commitment as always from day one love ya Rich.

Lianne Jones will have woken up this morning feeling all fresh. The champ is back and eased her way back into training after not pushing herself for a while, good to see her back on the mat.

Fantastic day and and some 26 fighters who was still around heading to a chineses restaurant for some good food & drinks.

We would like to thank you all who turned up for squad training yesterday and the next one will be in 6 weeks in Birmingham date to be confirmed, invites will go out.

Just a reminder to all Top Fighter GB members and invites. As we said in our last post last month regards squad training which was cancelled due to the rise in covid, the new date for squad has been rescheduled for Sunday 15th August 2021 at 1-3pm.

Please wear your suit as we will be taking photo’s and those who suits need changing please bring them to.

Also all fighters will be measured for their hoodies. Those who cannot make squad training via Hoilday etc please send in your measurements and be spot on.

If your staying over Saturday night before squad training the majority of us are staying at the Premier Inn, Venture Fields, Ashley Ways Widnes WA8

This hotel 🏨 is the perfect location and is only 5 mins away from the Dojo where the squad training will take place. The hotel is in a complex with a Cinema , bowling Ally and Restaurants.

Squad Training will take place at Senshi Clark Senshi Academy Dojo at Optimum Fitness Gym, Hale Road, Widnes Cheshire WA8 8TL

Our aim is to develop Novice, Intermediates and Advance fighters. The development of all our competitors is our no:1 priority.

Due to the recent spike in rising numbers in COVID Variant cases in Liverpool City Region (Widnes) where the Top Fighter GB 🇬🇧 Squad Training is due to take place this Sunday.

We feel that having people travelling from different city’s into the city region & mixing isn’t a wise & safe decision at this moment after taking advice on the local council guidelines we think it is appropriate to postpone our Top Fighter GB Squad Training until August 15th at 12:00pm.

We will however provide online Squad Training for all on Sunday 18th July at 2pm-3.30pm

Due to the Governments ruling on Friday , squad training on the 29th March is now postponed , we will announce a new date as soon as the government lift the ban on social gathering etc ,

Some of the tournaments that we are attending this year have been rescheduled so I have listed below our new dates

I have been receiving loads of messages regards the ISKA National Championships coming up on the 8th March in Birmingham.

I would like to clear up a few things and one of those is I am not running the ISKA Nationals next month and have no involvement at all.

Please get in touch with my good friend Brian Nelson for Mat Sport, Paul Sutton Ring Sports and Steve Powell for Kata.

Further more I did not put a statement out after the last ISKA World Championships in Cork back in October, but I feel it is now time because people still think I am still the amateur director of ISKA.

After a long chat with Paul Hennessy I have stepped down as amateur director due to our visions and Perspectives been different.

I have enjoyed 9 years with ISKA travelling all over the world 🌎 and met some fantastic friends, fighters and World Presidents.

I will still licence & Indemnity through ISKA but have stepped down regards Team England.

Myself and Benjamin Clark have now put our energy into Top Fighter GB 🇬🇧 we will not form another association.

Top Fighter GB 🇬🇧 We are creating a team for all division including Novice, Intermediate and advance fighters.

The development of all competitors is our number 1 priority. The ethos of this team will be built through the strength of togetherness, no competitor should ever feel alone when in a team.

We have a world class coaching team together who all strongly believe we are building something special.

Top Fighter GB 🇬🇧 The feedback has been immense and we are glad to here back from those who were invited to come along.

We are now putting things into place to make sure everything is done correctly. We are looking forwards to getting emails out to everyone, keeping your all informed on the next squad training and any additional information regarding the team to all coaches, fighters and parents.

Parents like I said on Sunday if you want to see our credentials on DBS, Risk Assessment, Indemnity Insurance, Safeguarding levels 1,2 and 3, GDPR then please do not hesitate to contact us.

The future is bright and 2020 onwards is going to be fantastic for all of us involved.

This is the beginning and Top Fighter GB 🇬🇧 are preparing to battle in 2020. When you see us at your event we will look different, we have a statement to make and by god we will.

From the get go you will feel like a team, from the get go you will feel at home, from the get go you will believe in us and from the get go you will walk away knowing that this development, structure, concept should of been done a long time ago.

When Martin Luther King said “ I have a dream which was said on August 28th 1963.” He further said “ I am happy to join with you today in what will go down in history as the greatest demonstration for freedom in the history of our nation.”

Tomorrow in Birmingham at the North Solihull Sport Centre it will be our freedom it’s the birth of Top Fighter GB 🇬🇧

Now is the time to see a new change, now is the time to rise from that dark tunnel to light at the end of the tunnel, now is the time to lift your game in the right direction and let it be reality.
