Wishing all GCSE and iGCSE students the very best of luck as you receive your results! ๐Ÿคžโœจ

Results Day can bring a whole mixture of emotions. Excitement, nerves, anticipation and maybe a few butterflies! Whatever your results, take a moment to be proud of how far youโ€™ve come. โค๏ธ

Iโ€™m especially looking forward to seeing how my GCSE and i/GCSE History students have done. You have worked incredibly hard, tackled challenging topics, developed your exam skills and persevered when things got difficult. Iโ€™m so proud of the effort you have put in!

Today also marks the beginning of your next chapter. Whether you're heading to sixth form to study A Levels, starting a BTEC or another vocational course, moving on to college, beginning an apprenticeship, or taking a different path altogether, there are lots of exciting opportunities ahead. ๐ŸŒŸ

And remember, your GCSE results are important, but they do not define you or determine your future. There is more than one route to where you want to go, and sometimes the path you didn't expect can lead to something brilliant.

So, Year 11, take a deep breathโ€ฆ ๐Ÿคž

Good luck! You've got this! ๐Ÿ’ช๐Ÿ“š

๐ŸŽ“โœจ A LEVEL RESULTS DAY 2026 โœจ๐ŸŽ“

Today Iโ€™m celebrating the results of my three A Level History students. I honestly couldnโ€™t be prouder of them! โค๏ธ

What makes me particularly proud is that they all came to tuition with completely different starting points and challenges.

๐Ÿ“– One student was initially achieving Level 1โ€“2 essay responses and struggled with understanding questions, structuring essays and knowing how to use the knowledge she had. She also had some significant gaps in her knowledge. After lots of hard work developing those foundations and her exam technique, she achieved a Grade C. Given where she started, this is a fantastic achievement! ๐Ÿ‘

๐Ÿ“– Another student had a very high target grade but had struggled with gaps in her knowledge, understanding the content and, particularly, the skills needed to write effective A Level essays. She worked incredibly hard to build her confidence, knowledge and exam technique.

๐Ÿ“– My third student was a very confident and capable historian with the potential to achieve highly. Their challenge was completely different. Learning to be more concise, answer the question directly and select the most relevant knowledge to develop their argument.

Three students. Three different starting points. Three different journeys. โค๏ธ

And the best part?

๐ŸŽ‰ All three achieved results they are proud of and have secured places at their chosen universities! ๐ŸŽ‰

I am SO proud of you all.

It has been a real privilege to support you this year, watch your confidence grow and see you develop as historians.

Now it's time for the next chapterโ€ฆ university! ๐ŸŽ“

Good luck with everything that comes next. I know youโ€™ll all do brilliantly. โค๏ธ

๐Ÿ“š Keeping my knowledge up to date, because safeguarding always comes first.

As a tutor, my role isn't just to help students achieve their best in History. It's also to ensure they learn in a safe, supportive and professional environment.

I'm pleased to have recently completed my updated Advanced Safeguarding, Child Protection and Prevent training, ensuring my knowledge remains current and in line with the latest guidance and best practice.

Alongside this, I am:
โœ… A fully qualified History teacher (PGCE with QTS)
โœ… Fully DBS checked (DBS Update Service)
โœ… Committed to ongoing professional development
โœ… Dedicated to providing a safe, inclusive and supportive learning environment for every student

When parents choose an online tutor, they are placing a great deal of trust in that person. I believe that trust should be earned not only through subject expertise, but also through maintaining the highest professional standards.

Continuous training means I can continue to provide the best possible support for both students and their families.

โŒ MYTH: People rarely bathed in the Middle Ages.
.....................

โœ… FACT: Bathing was relatively common until public bathhouses declined later because of disease concerns (many of the bathhouses were attached to brothels, so they became associated with catching sexually transmitted infections!)
