It was wonderful to take part again this year in the Redbridge Dance Link Gala - celebrating dance across the borough. Members of the Wanstead branch of the Chantraine School performed choreographies by Françoise Chantraine and Marie-Laure de Blois to music by Vivaldi, Bette Midler, and The Kooks - a taste of the wonderful variety on offer in the Chantraine choreographic repertoire.

Sunday 22 February — Join us for the Chantraine Dance Spring Workshop to discover two choreographies by Françoise Chantraine: “Darkness” to the music of Johann Sebastian Bach, and “Totoro” to the music of Joe Hisaishi.
The workshop is open to all ages and abilities and children from 8+ are welcome to join for the afternoon session.

Members of the UK Chantraine School in the joyful presence of Françoise Chantraine at this weekend’s company workshop in Paris. Together we discovered the choreography ‘Sun’ in a jam-packed weekend of choreography, creativity, rhythm, technique, and inner awareness.
In Chantraine Dance there is a depth and meaning in every gesture. Allowing the movement to originate from inside of us, the breath brings our dance to life.
