Lorna Wing Online Cookery Courses·Thursday, 20 June 2019·
Hello! I’ve enjoyed a long career in the food industry, working with luminaries including Delia Smith, Prue Leith and Sir Terence Conran. I teach teens to cook via my interactive online courses, which give them skills that not only count towards The Duke of Edinburgh’s Award but also equip them for university, leaving home and life thereafter. Mine is one of a select few cookery schools that’s licensed by the DofE as an Approved Activity Provider. Drop me a line or give me a call if you'd like to know more.

Our Queen. My Queen. And a constant in my life. Driven by duty. Accepting your destiny. What a life of admirable, selfless dedication and devotion. May you rest in deserved peace with your beloved Philip.

In loving memory of HRH The Prince Philip, Duke of Edinburgh 1921-2021.

The Duke of Edinburgh's greatest legacy is the creation of his visionary Award scheme. Millions of children across the world have benefitted from what he once referred to as 'a do-it-yourself growing up kit'.
What a far-sighted man he was in a post-war era with his initiative to give the young the opportunity of adventure, to challenge themselves, to learn some essential life skills and to survive and thrive.
I'm immensely proud to be associated with the DofE Award, teaching cookery skills to a new generation of incredible, inspirational and resilient young people.

Wishing you all a very happy new year, in good health, good spirits and good company, nourished by really good food.

Got a teen at uni or heading there soon? Don’t want them to starve or blow their budget on takeaways in the first month? Then sign them up pronto to one of my start-when-you-want Off to Uni Omnivores or Plant-Based courses, taught via WhatsApp, which they can speed through in two weeks or less. The recipes are super-practical, super-inexpensive (typically £1.50) and super-delicious! Huge thanks to the lovely Orlando Murrin, our fabulous president of the Guild of Food Writers, for writing about them in Waitrose Weekend: https://weekend-online.com/issue521/mobile/index.html =23

Have you seen the stunning-looking October issue of Saga Magazine with the fearless Jane Fonda on the cover and my fruity autumnal recipes inside? Gorgeous photography as always and seemingly effortless styling . Shot in my teeny garden on a blissfully hot summer's day, shaded by drooping fig and olive trees, it felt more like Tuscany than Wandsworth...

I'm really delighted that my courses have been featured in Olive magazine, alongside those of six other virtual cookery schools. For every teen who signs up during the coronavirus crisis, I'm making a donation to the charities Mind and The Silver Line, and my local foodbank.
