We’ve been absolutely loving camp this year! 🌿💚

Today, a special mention for the team who created this amazing dragon treehouse for our resident dragons (and one visiting bunny! 🐰🐉).

Starting with three sticks tied around the trees, they built floors from sticks and bark, added a leaf carpet, a cosy string bed, a lower platform and a bark roof.

The dragons can practise flying from the top platform — or, if they’re not quite ready yet, climb the rope ladder and whizz down the zip wire! 🪢✨

It’s been evolving over the last few days as different groups have added and changed things — which is exactly what we love about Forest Freedom. 🐸

And today? It culminated in a two-hour adults vs children battle for possession of the dragons! 😂🐉

🌿✨ Forest Graduation Week ✨🌿

This week we’ve been celebrating our wonderful preschool children as they prepare for their exciting adventure to big school. 💚

The Forest Fairies had one last magical surprise waiting… 🧚‍♀️

Our children followed a special forest treasure hunt, searching high and low for hidden fairies, baby fairies and magical clues. Along the way they decorated their own beautiful graduation crowns before discovering a very special gift from the Forest Fairies – a Golden Pinecone to take home. ✨🌲

Each child also received a poem from the Forest Fairies reminding them to always be kind, brave, adventurous and never forget the magic of the forest. 💛

Dressed in their Forest Freedom graduation capes, we celebrated all of the amazing memories we’ve made together over the past year.

We are so incredibly proud of every single one of you. Watching your confidence, curiosity and love for the outdoors grow has been a privilege, and although we’ll miss your smiling faces in the woods, we can’t wait to hear about all the wonderful adventures you’ll have at big school.

Good luck to all of our graduates—you’ll always be part of the Forest Freedom family. 🌿

🦋 The Butterfly Life Cycle 🦋

This week, our Early Years children have been exploring the life cycle of a butterfly through stories, nature hunts, creative art and imaginative play in the forest. 🌿

Inspired by The Very Hungry Caterpillar, the children learned about each stage of the butterfly’s journey, created beautiful butterfly artwork using leaves and paint, and fluttered through the woodland with their own butterfly wings!

A wonderful week of learning, creativity and outdoor adventure. 🐛➡️🦋
