A very personal post of mine. Last month iv was bedridden regarding my thyroid and autoimmune conditions and it has been a tough 5weeks It had time for me to reflect and have an appreciation for the simple things. With having 2 autoimmune conditions, life can feel like an uphill battle.
Iv amazing support from friends and family who helped me and my clients by being supportive and understanding when you have health conditions.
The one thing I have passion for the most is training, and not being able to do that has been difficult. Last week I felt better and am on new medication for my thyroid as it doesn't produce the hormones that my body needs and have to accept the fact that I need to take medication for the rest of my life if it means I can attain and do all the things I would like to do and have a better quality of life. I had brain fog and chronic fatigue and couldn't eat or digest food which led to malnourishment and vertigo with the picture on the left and the other is how I am now waiting for more tests and treatment to do with some flares but more managed.
I'll continue to give my best and train and come back better than ever, and this is a reminder to be kind to yourself even when things happen that we can't control and wanted to share my journey with these conditions
We at times accept that you need help and iv been blessed to find an amazing doctor a great human being and soul who is helping in so many ways I can't explain I'm truly grateful and has given me a new leave of life for something to look forward to and get to a stage where my health can be better than ever and I thank you so much for that. This is to raise awareness for type 1 diabetes and Hashimoto's 2 conditions that can be debilitating at times and something that you can't see.
I will be back to my best and posting more regularly in the future Thank you for taking the time to read this and always remember to be kind and love yourself whenever things are out of your control and not give up 🙏🏼💪🏽💙
