A new school year means a fresh start, and we’re challenging our pupils to get off to the best possible start with our September Sprint!

We know that every school day counts. Being in school every day means more learning, more opportunities, stronger routines and more chances to succeed. Even a few days missed can quickly add up.

So, our challenge is simple:

Achieve 96% attendance or above across the whole of September

Pupils who achieve 96%+ attendance will be in with a chance of winning a fantastic prize!

🏔️ ASCEND: Rising to the Challenge 🏔️

What an amazing Ascend Conference we had with our Year 11 pupils last Friday!

At West Walsall, our Houses are named after mountain ranges, so a conference focused on ascending, rising to the challenge and overcoming adversity felt like the perfect fit for our Year 11 students as they begin one of the most important years of their school journey.

Our pupils were challenged to think about their ambitions, resilience and determination, and the importance of continuing to climb even when the journey feels difficult.

Every pupil left with the revision resources and revision guides they need to succeed, ensuring they have the tools to support their learning and preparation throughout the year.

We are incredibly proud of the maturity, enthusiasm and determination our Year 11 pupils demonstrated. The journey to success has begun — now it’s time to keep climbing.

📣Academy Reopening Arrangements 📣

We are looking forward to welcoming our pupils back to the academy next week for the new academic year.

All pupils should be in full academy uniform, but do not need to bring their PE kits. All pupils should have their phone pouches.

We can’t wait to see you all back and begin another great year together
