When headshot day turns into a photoshoot 🤭

Our youngest comp team took to the backdrop for a quick little group pic after our headshot session yesterday 🥹 Of course, they couldn’t stay serious for long haha!!

They worked incredibly hard during their comp rehearsal yesterday. They may be small but OH are they mighty!! 💪 the countdown to our next comp in July is on- can’t wait to see them out there doing their thing again ⭐️💙

May star of the month went to…

⭐️Tiana-Rose ⭐️

What a delight and honour it is teach this lovely little lady! A teachers dream come true 🥹

Tiana is polite, kind, hard working and super talented💪 There is no mountain too tall or no “Miss. Kim” idea too wild 😆 Her eyes widen at me in disbelief sometimes, at what I am trying to get her to do (sorry Tiana haha!) but she goes for it regardless and always smashes it out the park!!

Also this superstar is a triple threat- she can sing, dance and act! When she perform, you simply can’t help but watch her in awe. And oh what a stunning dancer she is turning into 🥹 The best thing about teaching her, is the way in which her self confidence has just exploded in the past couple of sessions. She’s volunteering for solo lines, taking centre stage and putting herself forward for all opportunities. That’s what it’s all about- throwing yourself into each class and Tiana does just that!

I am so proud of you Tiana, the journey you are taking at KPA is just wonderful💙 You light up every room you walk into with your gorgeous presences and the most positive, uplifting attitude. You work so hard for me without complaints and a “go get it” approach. I couldn’t ask for anymore from you! Your passion and love for performing is so beautiful to see. Keep being your wonderful self and never change a thing- you will go so far 🥰

Let’s “Jungle” Boogie and raise some money for KPA⭐️💙

As you all know some of our dancers are taking the Disneyland Paris Stage in August 🤩 We are SO excited and almost stage ready now!!

However with this trip of a lifetime comes lots of additional costs. We want to help out of Disney families as much as we can; whether that’s buying the girls dance shoes or even costumes! Even if we can raise enough to discount any costs would be a HUGE help!

So we are hosting a SUPER exciting event at Jungle Boogie, Green Lane, WS2 8LE (just a 4 min drive from our studio) on Saturday 27th June from 4:30pm, to raise some funds for our trip to Paris. We have SO much on offer from soft play to children’s entertainment to crafts and stalls! You don’t want to miss this event 🤪

We would love to see as many people there as possible. It is set to be an incredible event and we want to party with you all 🎉

So you are probably wondering- “How do I get a ticket?!” 👀
Well tickets are cash only from the KPA studio, in which you will receive a wristband for entry on the day (these must be worn on arrival to get in.) You can also drop us an email, message on socials or text on 07421 492315 to enquire about tickets. This event is for KPA students, families, friends and beyond! Tickets are super limited due to capacity of the venue so be QUICK!! 🥳

Harlow you have really stood out to us this month for your hard work, focus and beautiful personality 💙 You are kind and caring to your peers, you have fantastic listening ears and you just LOVE to perform. It melts our hearts to see! You constantly put 100% into everything you do whether singing, dancing or acting. You are a true performer and a little star. Watch out world, Harlow is coming through 👀👏🏻

From being a very quiet and shy, tiny little lady to this fantastic personality that shines through with all the confidence in the world- it has been our honour to see your journey at KPA so far. If this is how you have progressed in 1 year, imagine what you will be like as one of the big girls 🥹 We just can’t wait to watch you develop and grow into to the amazing performer we know you will be. You make me so proud watching you practice your show routines and we are FINALLY going to get to see you do your thing on stage this year. We can’t wait 🤩 you really are such a special little lady and a huge part of the KPA family. Thank you for being one of my best instruction followers and for always remembering everything (even when we forget, you can always count on Harlow 🤭) You are turning into such a beautiful dancer too, at such a tiny age. Your lines and pointed toes are of dreams! 😇

We had the most amazing time Blackpool weekender with our comp dancers 🤩 Thank you for an amazing event, we all enjoyed ourselves so much from dancers to parents. We can’t wait for your next competition 🤪

Girls, you did me proud, yourselves proud and all your family and friends too. I am still beaming with pride and can’t stop a smile when I think of how amazing you all did on the weekend! You all completely came to life and danced like I’ve never seen you dance before. I welled up so many times watching you all do your thing. I couldn’t be prouder if I tried💙 I left Blackpool one content (and still buzzing!) teacher. Thank you for all your hard work, professionalism and dedication dancers⭐️

Who won the ‘M’ award out of every single dancer across all the schools competing!! The ‘M’ award is a special award selected by one of the competition hosts, Marie. Carmelita stood out to her, for her fantastic smile and energy throughout the two day event. Well done Carms, we are all SO proud of you! The way you have completely flipped everything around and reignited the fire in your belly for dancing has all paid off. What a superstar and at just 7 years old🥹 Keep it up!! 💪🏻

It’s Blackpool time dancers!! 🥳

Today our comp teams are heading to Blackpool for two days to compete in their biggest comp yet 👀

We are SO excited and can’t wait to see our dancers on the floor doing their thing 🪩

Girls we are so insanely proud of you for all the hard work in rehearsals leading up to this comp. Your work ethic and drive is inspiring to say the least ⭐️ no matter what happens this weekend just go out there, show them what you’re made of and have FUN!! You got this💪🏻

Blackpool we are coming for you… 🤪

Our infant Ballerinas turned a bit crazy last night🤪😆

Yesterday we were exploring movement dynamics in our Infant Ballet class with slow and fast dancing with our colourful scarves! 🌈 It was so amazing to see how their slow movement was so balletic and controlled but there fast movement was energetic and direct! Instilling such skills at a young age will shape the dancers they turn into. 🩰

We also experimented with actions such as jumping, swirling and throwing and catching our scarves. It was like they were creating their our little routines without even realising 🤩 but of course we have to have a bit of fun so the scarves ended up on our heads and we practiced our silly faces 🤭

Well done for a fantastic session yesterday Infant Ballerinas 💙 you are all coming along so beautifully!
