⚠️ Honest opinion Alert ‼️

Summer holidays ☀️ are a WILD ride….

One minute you’re having the best time, laughing, smiling, enjoying and soaking up this precious time together.
Then the next, generally when you’ve been asked for the 1000 time for yet another snack or they say “I’m bored” because you dared to stop giving them undivided attention for 5 seconds, you want to scream, run and hide…
And then they go back to school and you miss them and you want to cry 😢

What an emotional rollercoaster 🎢 this period of life called parenthood is!

Anyone else feeling this? Please 🙏 tell me I’m not alone?

They might not remember their first music class… but you will. 💜

You’ll remember the first time they shook an instrument. 🥁
The look of wonder as they watched the bubbles float by. 🫧
Those little legs bouncing along to their favourite song. 🎶
Tiny hands reaching for the colourful scarves. 🌈
And those moments when they look at you and give you the biggest smile. 🥰

I needed this reminder this morning 👇🏼
As the mornings and evenings get darker and the slight anxiety around all the back to school prep starts to kick in I will try to embrace this!

For anyone else starting to feel the after summer blues already, we got this 💪🏼

If you’ve caught yourself thinking “only two weeks left…” — this is for you. 💛

September has a sneaky habit of creeping into August.

The uniform gets sorted, the school emails start appearing, the stationery gets bought, childcare and work routines start creeping back in… and before you know it, your brain is already three weeks ahead.

But we’re not there yet.

There’s still summer left. ☀️

Still time for slow mornings, days out, holidays, staying in pyjamas far too long, trips to the park, ice creams, late bedtimes, cups of tea that might actually get finished… and days where absolutely nothing productive happens.

You don’t have to squeeze every last drop out of the holidays either. It doesn’t need to be magical. The kids don’t need entertaining every minute.

Ordinary days count too.

The school year asks a lot of families — the routines, rushing, clubs, homework, packed lunches, appointments and trying to remember approximately 847 different things.

So don’t give September the last bit of August.

September can wait. 💙

Let’s get the much needed ROUTINE back in our lives… September half term here we come! 👍

With today being the last day of “fun in the park” at The Happy Hub at Cholsey I wanted to say a huge thank you for having me!

My Jolly Toddler music 🎶 sessions there last Monday were so much fun 🤩. I loved meeting all the families and making memories together. Amy and the team were just brilliant too!

I hope you all had the best time this summer and can’t wait to hopefully see you all again very soon!
