I’m excited to let you know that I’m holding a special Number Train Halloween session during the school holidays! 🎃

You’re very welcome to come along and join us for some Halloween-themed number fun, games and activities.

Numicon is an amazing resource because it helps children see, feel and understand numbers, rather than simply memorising them. The different Numicon shapes give children a visual representation of numbers and help them explore how numbers relate to one another.

It can support children with:

• Number recognition and counting
• Number bonds
• Addition and subtraction
• Place value
• Patterns and sequences
• Early problem-solving and mathematical reasoning

We use Numicon alongside practical, hands-on activities so children can explore mathematical ideas at their own pace. Being able to physically handle the shapes and see how numbers fit together helps make abstract mathematical concepts more concrete and easier to understand.
